Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive at Kathmandu Airport where your trek leader meets you for the transfer to your hotel. Spend the afternoon resting and getting settled in, then head out in the evening for a welcome dinner at a local Nepali restaurant. There's a live cultural show happening during dinner, so you'll get a feel for the local traditions right away.

- Day 2
Kathmandu
After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to go over the day's plan. You'll spend the day exploring Kathmandu valley, visiting Boudha Nath, Pashupatinath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Each site gives you a different look at the city's history and culture. You'll head back to the hotel for the night.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
An early breakfast gets you ready for the transfer to the airport and your scenic flight to Lukla, the small mountain town where your trek actually starts. From there you'll hike to Phakding, passing through Chaurikharka Village and working your way down toward Dudhkosi Ghat at 2,530m/8,300 ft. Following the Dudhkosi River, you'll reach camp at Phakding (2,640m/8,660 ft). It's a short day meant to help your body start adjusting to the altitude.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, you'll start hiking toward Namche Bazaar, moving through villages and jungle terrain with beautiful farm terraces along the way. The trail is pleasant and you'll arrive at Namche Bazaar (3,445m/11,300 ft), which sits surrounded by mountains and opens toward Bhote Koshi. You'll stay at a guest house overnight.

- Day 5
Namche Bazaar
Today is set aside for acclimatization, so you'll hike to Khhumjung village to visit a monastery and take in views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kwangde, and Kusum Kangaru. If you're feeling good, there's an optional hike up to Syangboche (3,800m/12,470 ft) where Everest View Hotel offers more outstanding views. Either way, you'll be back at the guest house for the night.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
From Namche Bazaar, you'll trek via Monjo on a trail that's mostly pleasant with some short uphill sections. The path takes you down to the Bhote Koshi River, which you'll cross three times. After that comes a 45-minute uphill climb that brings you into Lukla for the night.

Lukla to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you'll walk to Lukla airport for your 35-minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Once you arrive at the domestic airport, you'll transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and recover. In the evening, your team leader will take you out for a farewell dinner at a local Nepali restaurant to celebrate finishing your trek.

Kathmandu Departure
After breakfast, you'll transfer to the airport for your flight home. Safe travels, and hopefully you'll return to Nepal for another adventure in the future.
