  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

After landing at the airport, you'll get transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. The afternoon is yours to wander around the city at your own pace. Later on, your trek guides will sit down with you for a briefing about what's coming up in the days ahead.

You'll catch a 40-minute mountain flight to Lukla, which is your entry point to the Everest region. Rangers will check your permits near Manjo as you enter Sagarmatha National Park. If it's clear, you'll spot Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru, and after pushing uphill from Larpchen Bridge for about 1.5 hours, you might catch your first view of Mount Everest. Do it!!! It was absolutely amazing, the guides are great, really kind and helpful and the scenery is so beautiful and stunning. DO train before you go, as a good level of fitness will really help, also make sure you take lots of layers of clothes to keep warm. It's a once-in-a-lifetime challenge and such a great experience.

This trek was something on my bucket list for 20 + years, and I was not disappointed. The views, the weather, the lodging, the guide and porter, everything was outstanding!! We couldn't leave to Lukla from Kathmandu and had to travel 3 hours to another airport, which was tolerable one way, but having to do it on the way back was a bit much. That is the only thing I would have changed, and that's peanuts. If I ever go back, which I hope I do, I would go with this company again, without a doubt!!

Me and my brother went to Everest base camp using Scenic Nepal treks, it was a great experience from the off.. Very well put together itinerary, and our group was small so it was like a private guided tour. ( just get used to ordering your tea at breakfast ). Kumar our tour guide was overly helpful, and assisted us throughout the trek and made the experience memorable. Dipendra went out of his way to make sure we experienced local traditions before and after the trek and made feel comfortable. I highly recommend this experience, and I look forward to my next adventure with Scenic tours.

Our guide was very caring and helpful through the trip. He made sure that we had plenty of sleep and water everyday to prevent AMS. He is also very responsible and helpful when it comes to the hardest part of the trek, the Chola Pass. The trip was very comfortable as everything was well planned and taken care off. The manager of Scenic Nepal would occasionally call our guide to check up on us throughout the trip. Overall, a highly satisfying and enjoyable trip and we would definitely come back again in future!

Our guide was extremely careful and caring throughout the trip. He is also very helpful especially reaching the toughest part of Cho La Pass. He is very experienced and kept reminding us on the signs and symptoms of AMS. He also reminded us everyday to drink plenty of water and plenty of sleep so as to prevent AMS. It was very comforting to have someone like that for an arduous trip as this. The Company, Scenic Nepal would asked about our conditions every now and again through our guide so as to made sure we are all okay. Overall, a satisfying trip with Scenic Nepal and we would definitely come again! Till next trip!

5 of us in our group from Kuching, Malaysia have completed the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Valley in April 2018. The EBC trip is always i wanted to do since i started trekking into Himalaya mountain range back in 2013. Finally it made my dream came true. Before this trip, we were a bit worried and doubting if we would do it, this is because we hardly hiked up to more than 5000m asl mountain back in our home. All these made our trip possible with the excellent service from Scenic Nepal Treks. They took good care of us since we arrived in Kathmandu's airport in Day 1. They are very proffesional in planning our itineraries and provide good service during the trek. They have very experience guide, Mr Kumar. He is very caring and helpful, together with his assistant Mr Ramesh. They make sure we all ok, they guide us safely all the way to EBC + Gokyo Valley. They made sure we drank enough water daily to keep our hydrate all the time. We also not to forgot the 2 strong porters who help to carry our bags. Thank you for one of the most unforgettable and beautiful experience from them I highly recommend them to anyone who like to do the similar trek or any other trek in himalaya. Thanks. Regards Tan Wee Ming Kuching Malaysia
