- Day 1
Arrival in Colombo to Negombo
You'll arrive at Colombo Airport and get transferred to Negombo for your first night. The rest of your day is yours to spend however you like, whether that's relaxing on the beach or wandering through the colorful fish market. Dinner happens at your hotel.

Negombo to Habarana
After breakfast, you'll join a guided tour through Negombo to see its Dutch and Portuguese colonial history, the churches called 'Little Rome', and the famous fish market. You'll stop at the Dutch Fort and the Catholic Church of Santa María, then head to the Silver Temple where a wild bee colony lives in a distinctive boulder. Later you travel to Habarana for check-in and dinner.

Habarana to Kandy
Starting with breakfast, you'll climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, walking up through the Lion Paws to see royal gardens and intricate frescoes, then check out the museum. Next you visit a Spice Garden in Matale to learn about therapeutic spices and Sri Lankan history. The afternoon takes you to Kandy where you'll tour the Temple of the Tooth Relic, explore the lakeside city with its markets and shops, and watch a cultural show with traditional music and drumming. Dinner's included.

Kandy
You'll have breakfast and then spend your day at the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, a 147-acre national asset with well-tended lawns, pavilions, an octagon conservatory, an orchid house, and a giant Javan fig tree. By evening you're back at your hotel for dinner.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, you head toward Nuwara Eliya with a stop at a tea plantation. You can tour the lush green tea gardens or visit a tea factory to see how Ceylon Tea gets processed, and you'll have a cup of traditional tea before checking into your hotel.

Nuwara Eliya
Breakfast comes first, then you explore the misty hill country with its steep winding roads that cut through blankets of tea bushes. You'll see green valleys, waterfalls, and countryside hamlets from Sri Lanka's British colonial era, and you might spot tea pluckers in their brightly-colored saris. You head back to your hotel by evening.

Nuwara Eliya to Yala
After breakfast, you transfer to Yala National Park for a jeep safari through the country's most visited national park. You'll have chances to see herds of elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, jackals, and leopards (the park has the world's highest leopard density). It's rough terrain and wilderness sounds under the tropical sun before you check into your hotel.

Yala to Hikkaduwa
Breakfast done, you head to Koggala for stilt fishing on the lake and ocean. You'll visit the Martin Wickremasinghe Museum, then continue to Galle, the historic southern capital with its Dutch architecture and preserved ramparts showing over 300 years of history. From there you drive to Hikkaduwa for check-in and dinner.

Hikkaduwa
You start with breakfast and then take a boat ride on the Madu River through mangrove tunnels to the Kotu Duwa island temple. You'll experience the rich ecology and rural culture of Balapitiya, which is known for cinnamon plantations and diverse freshwater fish species. Later you visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to learn about sea turtle conservation efforts. Then you head back to your hotel for dinner.

You visit Gangarama Temple to experience the incense and temple bells, then head to Colombo Airport for your flight home.
