Munich
You'll arrive in Munich and have the day to yourself. This is a good time to wander around the city, grab a coffee at a local café, check out Marienplatz with its Gothic town hall, or just relax at your hotel. There's no structured activities, so you can move at your own pace and get oriented before the tour picks up tomorrow.

Neuschwanstein Castle
A full-day guided tour takes you into the Bavarian Alps where you'll see Neuschwanstein Castle, the famous palace built by King Ludwig. You'll travel through garden landscapes and learn about the history of this iconic fortress. It's roughly a 90-minute drive each way, so plan for a long day with plenty of scenic views along the route.

Nuremberg to Bamberg
You'll take a guided tour through Nuremberg, walking past medieval buildings, a gilded fountain, and the Gothic cathedral. Kaiserburg Castle sits on a hill overlooking the old town, and your guide will show you around the historic center. By evening, you'll board an overnight cruise heading to Bamberg, so pack an overnight bag and settle into your cabin on the ship.

Bamberg
At the Adventure Center in Bamberg, you'll pick your activity: either bike along the canals or take a guided walking tour through the historic city with its Romanesque cathedral, Old Town Hall, and churches perched on seven hills. Later, you'll visit a family-run hop garden, try some local beer, and listen to a beer lecture while cruising toward Würzburg.

If you want, there's an optional excursion to Rothenburg, a charming Bavarian town. You'll have live entertainment on the ship, then cruise to Miltenberg in the evening.

A guided walking tour of Miltenberg shows you medieval half-timber homes and Germany's oldest inn, which still operates today. Back onboard, your Beer Expert will host a tasting session. You'll cruise to Frankfurt later in the evening, so there's time to explore Miltenberg before heading back to the ship.

Frankfurt to Boppard
In Frankfurt, you have several options: bike with your Adventure Host, take a guided tour to Seligenstadt and the Einhard Basilika, join a sightseeing tour of the city's cultural landmarks and neighborhoods, or do a brewery tour to check out local craft beers. You'll have free time to explore on your own, and later there's live entertainment while you cruise to Boppard.

From the Sky Deck, you'll see the Rhine Gorge scenery as the ship passes through. In Rüdesheim, either hike through vineyards with your Adventure Host or tour the Mechanical Music Museum to see unusual instruments. That evening, your Beer Expert hosts a food and beer pairing dinner onboard while you cruise to Strasbourg.

Your Beer Expert starts the day with an onboard beer and cheese tasting. Then you'll take a city tour of Strasbourg, seeing the Gothic cathedral with stained-glass windows, ancient murals, and an astronomical clock. La Petite France District is magical to walk through with its canals and colorful buildings. By evening, you'll cruise to Breisach.

You have choices today: a full-day guided tour to the Black Forest to see an open-air museum, an authentic water mill, and traditional butter-making, a relaxing bike ride along the Rhine with your Adventure Host, or visit a local winery to learn about German winemaking and taste wines. There's also an optional excursion to Colmar. You'll cruise to Basel that evening.
