Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Costa Rica
The day starts with your arrival at the airport where staff will meet you and handle the transfer to your hotel. After you get settled in your room, your guide comes by to go over what the week has in store. Later that evening, you'll have a welcome dinner with the group and get to know everyone you'll be traveling with.

- Day 2
Travel to Coast & Sea Turtle Patrol Introduction
You'll start with a traditional Costa Rican breakfast and local coffee before driving up through the mountains toward the coast. Once you arrive at your base, there's a briefing on sea turtle conservation work. In the evening you head out for your first beach patrol, which runs between 10pm-1am or 1am-4am depending on the schedule.

- Day 3
Hatchery Training & Sea Turtle Nest Preparation
There's an optional beach cleanup if you want to participate, followed by a talk about how the hatchery works and why it matters for sea turtle protection. You'll get hands-on training on how to properly dig and prepare a sea turtle nest so you're ready to help transfer eggs to the hatchery when needed.

Butterfly Farm & Insect Education with Evening Patrol
You'll meet Jungle Mike who teaches you about Costa Rica's insect life while walking through an open-air butterfly farm and jungle path. After that, you get to sample different locally-harvested organic honeys. Later in the evening, you head back out for another sea turtle patrol along the beach.

- Day 5
Fishing Village & Sustainable Seafood with Final Patrol
Following breakfast, you drive to a local fishing village to learn how residents live and what pressures they face from big commercial fishing operations. You'll find out how to choose sustainable seafood and eat a fresh fish lunch made by local women. The afternoon is yours to rest before your final patrol. You'll have dinner by the beach before heading out for the night.

- Day 6
Animal Rescue Center & Journey to Mountainside Hacienda
After a few hours driving, you reach the Liberia region and visit an animal rescue center where pumas, ocelots, and jaguars are rehabilitated. You'll have lunch there before continuing on to a mountainside hacienda where you'll arrive before dark.

Zip-Lining, River Tubing & Hot Springs with Farewell Dinner
The day kicks off with zip-lining through the canopy on 8 different lines, then you'll tube down the Rio Colorado, navigating through mountain waters and over a 6-foot waterfall while watching for monkeys in the canyon. After lunch, you can relax in warm spring pools or get volcanic mud treatments, then take an exhilarating river jump. The day ends with a farewell dinner where you'll reflect on the week.

Departure
You'll have breakfast at the lodge and then get transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight home.
