Mariia· November 30th, 2025Very enjoyable. The tour guide was very informative in terms of the major landmarks/tourist destinations, culture and local food. Some of the other participants were not respectful to the people and places around them, which made some group activities less enjoyable.Show moreTrip date: November 2025
Kevin· June 28th, 2025It was a fantastic time, met some cool people and Moustafa was great very helpful guideful and explanatory:)Show more

It was amazing to meet new friends from all over the world while exploring the beauty of Japan. The experiences, the sights, and the shared moments have created lifelong memories. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a seamless and enriching travel experience!Show more
G Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for sharing your experience with us, Emil! We are delighted to know you enjoyed your time in Japan with us. our world deserves more you!Trip date: January 2025 - TBTyler· October 12th, 2024Tour group was fantastic. Emi the tour guide was so helpful, went above and beyond. Felt like you were with friends rather than a stranger. The hostels and other living arrangements were very nice, not at all like the reputation that hostels have in the rest of the world. Emi, the tour guide offered so many extra things to do for the group. Tea ceremonies, ninja experiences, etc. She also gave some great recommendations for places to go and things to do on your own. Two of my favorite things I did on this trip, the Kabuki theatre and the sanjusangendo temple, were her recommendations. The only thing I regret is not going on the longer tour so I could have more fun with the group. The description on the site does not do the tour justice. This tour is great for making new friends and having fun experiences in Japan.Show more

Jenny· January 31st, 2020Tour was great! I had fun. CEO Sho and Tetsu were amazing in guiding us all over the locations and teaching the culture and history of shrines and streets. Catching trains & subways like ninjas, experiencing the bathing ways of japanese or using onsen is one of my favorite. Plus I’m with amazing young groups. I wish I had more time to discover more of places. I’l definitely come back!Show moreTrip date: January 2020- AHelen M· October 23rd, 2018I really enjoyed the tour aspect of my trip. The guide was friendly, fun and responsible, and the the chance to meet other people from other countries is interesting and it's really exciting to experience a new country and culture with others. The tour was not too set in stone, plenty of room for me to do my own thing, and we were always asked our opinion as to whether we wanted to go somewhere/do something as a group.Show moreTrip date: October 2018

Asked on September 15th, 2025Would it be possible to stay with the 3 other people I am planning the trip with? I see the hostels are 4-6 people and was just wondering if we could be together at the hostels?
G AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025Yes if you are booking with other travellers you will be allocated a room together, if you book separately we can still request that you room together but we would need written confirmation from all travellers that they are happy to do so. The accommodation breakdown is as follows; Hostels (4 nts, multi-share & shared facilities), traditional inn (1 nt, multi share room and shared facilities).

Traveler•Written September 2025When selecting nationality for the other people and they have 2 passports should I select the nationality that the passport is associated with or does it not matter? Example: lives in South Africa, has South African passport and British passport. Wants to use British passport for travel ease. Should I fill in British as nationality or South African?
G AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025The passport selected needs to be the passport the traveller is travelling with for the tour. It is very important as we book all services for the tour with this information, so the passport on file needs to match the passport you are travelling with.

Asked on May 18th, 2025I am 40 years old and will only be in Japan during these dates. I hope you can give an exception since it is just 1 year older than the requirement.
G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025Unfortunately there are no exception for the age requirements on this tour, you must be no older than 39 years of age on Day 1 of the tour. We require passports to confirm your eligibility so you would need to look at alternative tours.

G AdventuresOperator•Written December 2024This trip is designed for travellers aged 18-39 years old wishing to form interpersonal connections with travellers around their age, while visiting a new destination. Travellers must be 39 years old or younger as of Day 1 of the departure date of the tour.

Asked on November 9th, 2024I liked your 'Japan: Tokyo Nights & Kyoto Temples - 6 days' tour plan. I would like to do that with my family (4 adults) 11 January 17 January 2025. Is it possible to change the accommodation for us? Hostels are not good for us, can you arrange just basic standard hotel rooms with private bathrooms please?
G AdventuresOperator•Written November 2024Unfortunately, we cannot change the hostels as this is what makes up the itinerary and the package price for the tour. We can, however, suggest you look at our other styled tours to Japan where our accommodation is hotels.

Asked on October 27th, 2024My 19 year old daughter is thinking of joining her friend's family tour group to Japan. She has severe food allergies and does not speak Japanese. What can you do to accommodate her multiple food allergies?
G AdventuresOperator•Written October 2024We are generally able to accommodate travellers with allergies and dietary restrictions, unless they are very severe. Would you be able to clarify what type of allergies your daughter has? All of our tours are operated in English and most of our travellers come from English-speaking countries.

Traveler•Written October 2024Malina has severe food allergies and cross contamination is a big risk. She is extremely allergic to dairy, gluten/wheat, sesame seeds/oil, nuts, beef, and lentils. She experiences anaphylaxis if she eats food allergens.
- C
Cindy
Traveler•Written October 2024At Japanese restaurants, she eats nigiri and sashimi with tamari/gluten free soy sauce and edamame/soybeans in the pod with salt. She also eats tofu. She loves all of these items.
G AdventuresOperator•Written October 2024Allergies are not usually an issue, however on our tours the travellers themselves are generally responsible (with the help of their guide as a translator) for picking their own meals. The group will usually visit a restaurant and choose their own meal - the CEO guide can translate the menu and make the kitchen staff aware of the allergies but that is as much assistance as they can offer.
