What people love about Southern India Tours for Seniors
- The best of Kerala in 9 days with idyllic houseboat and relax
Excellent tour with enough days at each location to really enjoy the area and not feel rushed. My driver, Manu, was very helpful and flexible to accommodate my wishes. Only me on this tour, which has advantages and disadvantages. Easier to tailor the trip to my preferences. The stay on the Houseboat was the highlight for me: very relaxing and felt like royalty being
- Trip to God's Own Country
The itinerary was very well designed. It covered all the major sites. We enjoyed the whole tour with our driver joy. He was very professional and always reported on time. Staying at houseboat was incredible.
- Kerala Backwater Tour with Karnataka
Our driver: Zakkir was an all round great bloke. He was always polite, always smiley and never failed to brighten our mornings. He ensured we were comfortable and was a very safe driver. 5/5. Locations: Locations on this tour were great, brilliantly varied that fit broadly into 3 categories (backwaters, hill stations and cities), we thought that the variation of these different locations gave us a flavour of different cultures, peoples and environments. 5/5 Activities: Fun and good variation. Great mix of sightseeing and activities. Tour guides were informative and friendly. One must be aware that they will take you to the expensive tourist shops at the end of the tour (encouraging you to 'browse'), one specific tour guide apologised to the owner of the shop when we wouldn't buy anything... This is something you have to get used to when you come to India as a tourist. We were surprised also that some of the activities were not pre booked for the tour and that all of the activities you have to pay for yourself (except the houseboat), this is something we did not think was clear when booking. Furthermore, please be aware that, in Kerala, it is state government policy to charge foreigners more money for various activities, for example, bus ticket to boat ride in Thekkady cost 500r pp for us, but for locals was 100r pp for Indians. 4/5 Accomodation: All hotels were nice, clean and comfortable with AC.
