A helpful tip for your evening walk through Soho and Chinatown: use the north exit at Leicester Square station to avoid the tourist masses.

What people love about 2-week France, Italy and Switzerland tours
- Spectacular Europe End Rome
I was initially skeptical -- too many bad reviews for tour operators these days -- but I was pleasantly surprised how good the trip turned out to be. As arranged, I had a pick up at Heathrow who dropped me to the hotel. Throughout the 14-day trip, hotel stay was nice and pleasant with free breakfasts. The hotels in Lyon and Zurich were especially good. Not all tour guides were fluent with English, but Fernando (London) and Thiery (Italy) and 'Disaster Phillipe' were great. Some of the outstanding trips were 1) cruise on Seine 2) train ride on Zurich metro 3) train ride down Grindelweld. On top, the many funicular rides and boat rides were well-planned and enjoyable.
- Magical Europe
The itinerary is good for this trip. We got to see many places. The accommodation is also good with great breakfast. There a few areas that can be improved as following: 1) The worst experience in this trip is we had to line up for 2 hours to get the ticket for Colosseum in Rome in heat because group tickets were not provided. By the the time we got the ticket, the meet up time was passed. Since the tour guide was not with us and there was no way to communicate of the huge delay, we spent 10 minutes inside the Colosseum and had to rush to get out. However, some people decided to spend 1 hour in the Colosseum. So we ended up waiting for them for another hour outside the Colosseum. The whole group was very upset about this experience. This could have been avoided if Europa Mudo had booked the group tickets in advance. 2) We have changed many buses and tour guides during the trip. This is not a very good experience. At one point, we got a bus without WiFi and electrical plugs. 3)The free time is too long in Rome. It was too hot and many people ended up taking a taxi to get back to the hotel rather than waiting till 8pm. 4) The time allowed for the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna is too short. We did not have enough time to get close to the fountain.

We were not able to complete our travel due to the world situation with Covid19. We felt, however, that we needed to share our positive experience with DOT travel. From the booking process, helping to make arrangements to suit our family, and adapting the itinerary to accommodate our travel needs, DOT was nothing short of extraordinary with their customer service. Additionally, when we had to make the sad decision to cancel our trip due to the world events, DOT was understanding and accommodating and refunded us promptly with no cancellation fees. We will complete this trip when the world opens up again, and rest assured we will be booking with DOT travel eu.
