10 Days in Scandinavia, incl. Norwegian Fjords and Copenhagen
Majestic cities and UNESCO sites sparkle across 10 days in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Tour 12 cities including Trondheim, Stockholm, and Copenhagen, featuring guided tours and scenic journeys like the Atlantic Road.
- Day 1
Trondheim, Norway
- Days 2-3
Norwegian Fjord Country
Take the scenic Atlantic Road from Trondheim. Catch the 50-minute Romsdal Fjord ferry early to avoid tour buses. Visit Geiranger, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Book a 9 AM fjord cruise to get better light and smaller crowds. When visiting Briksdalsbreen Glacier, you can take electric troll cars if you prefer not to tackle the hour-long uphill hike.
- Days 4-5
Bergen to Oslo
Start your Bergen morning at the Fløibanen funicular. The morning fog usually lifts by 10 AM, giving you clear city views. One traveler shares: "Don't miss the fish market by the harbor - the fresh seafood soup makes a perfect lunch, especially on chilly days." On your drive to Oslo via Hardangerfjord, stop at Voringsfossen waterfall. Bring good walking shoes as the viewing platforms can get slippery.
- Days 6-7
Stockholm, Sweden
- Days 8-10
Copenhagen, Denmark
10 Days in Scandinavia, incl. Copenhagen and Helsinki
Three kingdoms reveal their secrets over 7 days, from Copenhagen's Amalienborg Palace to Oslo's Akershus Fortress and Stockholm's Nobel Prize venue. Includes organic lunch at Egastronomi AB and stays at Imperial Hotel and Elite Palace.
- Days 1-2
Copenhagen
Start your Nordic adventure in Denmark's capital. Book a hotel in the Nyhavn area for convenient access to the main sights. "Getting to Nyhavn early morning before the crowds was perfect for photos of the colorful houses." Visit Christiansborg Palace when it opens at 9 AM on day 2, then walk to Amalienborg Palace to catch the changing of the guards at noon. For the best photos of the Little Mermaid statue, go before breakfast or around sunset to avoid crowds.
- Day 3
Copenhagen to Oslo
- Day 4
Oslo
- Day 5
Oslo to Stockholm
- Days 6-7
Stockholm
- Days 8-10
Helsinki
Take the overnight ferry to Helsinki. Book a sea-view cabin to watch the sunrise over the archipelago. Visit the Market Square after 8 AM and see the unique Temppeliaukio Church outside peak hours. Use your final day for a quick trip to medieval Tallinn, Estonia—just book ferry tickets well in advance.
- Days 1-2
Bergen
Begin in Bergen, your gateway to Norway's fjords. Get to the UNESCO-listed Bryggen district early in the morning for the best photos before the crowds arrive. Visit the Bergen Market when it opens at 8 AM to see the freshest fish. The Fløibanen funicular to Mount Fløyen offers great views. Book your tickets online to skip the long summer lines.
- Day 3
Voss
Take the 1-hour train to Voss, Norway's adventure hub. Book a room at Fleischer's Hotel for excellent mountain views. The Voss Gondola offers stunning panoramas. Try to catch the last ride around 5 PM for sunset views with fewer people. If you plan to hike Bjordalsgjelet Gorge, wear good hiking shoes as the trail gets slippery in wet weather.

What people love about 10-day Denmark, Norway and Sweden tours
- From Copenhagen to Helsinki
Very nice and organized. Very good guides, bus, driver
- Scandinavian Escape
This is our second time with expat and my family and I truly enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Kevin, and bus driver, Bjørn, were absolutely fantastic. The itinerary was fun and interesting. Kevin was professional, organized, and caring. He took the time to explain everything and shared interesting history stories about each country we visited. Good time management as well, our group had a great pace under his guidance. Bjørn's in-depth knowledge about the region truly enriched our experience and understanding of the nordic cultures and language. He is hard working, always smiling and interacted with everyone in the group. We were all amazed by his superior driving skills in the narrow streets of Denmark, Norway and Sweden! Expat did such a good job this time with its accommodations. The hotels were stylish and comfortable (especially in Bergen and Oslo). Above all, the FOOD was awesome. My top three favorites were the traditional Danish dinner at the restaurant Puk (included), the Bergen seafood buffet on a cruise (optional) and the amazing breakfast offered by Thon Hotel Orion in Bergen (included).
