What people love about Ireland and Scotland Tours in July
- Scotland and Ireland (Classic, Summer)
From the moment I met up with the tour in Scottland, Megs felt like an old friend I hadn't seen in awhile. She wasn't just the leader of the group but one of us!! She made the trip what it was, awesome and fun!! When I go on my next tour I could only hope that Megs was the tour leader, I only have the upmost respect for her and what she does. To sum Megs up in one word... Epic!!!
- England, Scotland and Ireland end Dublin
I feel the guides are not wanting to speak to us in English. They would go on and on in Spanish laughing and then 3 or 4 words in English. I was unable to understand Mary our first guide at all. The trip itself was wonderful and beautiful. Loved the bus driver in Ireland he was a better tour guide for me.

Matt Lawson was an excellent tour guide; knowledgeable and humorous. Enjoyed his stories. We saw a lot of amazing sights in both countries. Only regret was the time to do and see things was limited and even rushed. For example, you could have lunch at a sightseeing stop/town or go sightseeing and forego eating. There were lines to get into cafes, and it took time. I like the idea of a bag lunch provided by Insight on certain days. Another tour I went on provided bag lunches on a few busy sightseeing days in Alaska. It was well received. The hotels were hit and miss. There was mold in a few bathrooms and some mustiness/bad smells in bedrooms. Matt was made aware of the hotels with the issues on the tour. The breakfasts were plentiful, and just average. The included dinners were average, too - chicken or fish or vegetarian on a continual basis. In two cattle countries, there was no beef on the included menu. Our bus driver, Darius, was great. He provided a safe touring environment and helped load and unload luggage promptly. Only issue was many of the footrests on bus were broken. This was tough on some of our longer trips to not be able to put your feet up. Overall, a good trip. I’d recommend to friends, and would go on another Insight tour in the future. Thank you.
