What people love about Fully Guided Tours in Nepal
- Guided Trek to Chisapani Nagarkot -3 days
Chisapani Nagarkot is the best trekking route of short holiday people. I bought a 10 days package tour from Himalayan adventure and I had a few spare days in Kathmandu. Rather than stay in dusty and crowds city Kathmandu Bhagwat gives us suggestion to do this trek which is very worth full and amazing view very peaceful.
- Wonderful Nepal Tour
I booked the tour quite last minute and had never used Tour Radar before. The reviews for Tour Radar and Nepal Social Treks were positive so I booked the Wonderful Nepal tour. I guess this tour was my trial before I use Tour Radar for longer tours. The booking process was very easy. The tour itself was very well organised and everyone involved was very friendly from the guides to the drivers. Communication prior to the tour and during the tour was very good and any questions I had were answered in a timely manner. On the tour I was able to see some amazing places and things from black rhinos in Chitwann to the beautiful mountains. I loved Nepal, the scenery, people and food were all amazing. The trip was a really good way of seeing a mix of things and different areas. It was very well organised and I really enjoyed it. I would love to go back next year to see more of the mountains and the smaller villages. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Nepal Social Treks and would love to do a longer trek again with Aphut. I would recommend anyone to visit Nepal and use Nepal Social Treks.
- Everest Base Camp - Guided *TREK* (All Inclusive)
Chris and the Climbing Mountains team made trekking to Everest Base Camp an amazing experience!! They were exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced in both trekking and the local area - looking after our safety and wellbeing to ensure all 10 of us made it up to 5364m and back. We also got to see and experience the most incredible Nepalese traditions, history, and food along the trek, with the team organising all of these things for us. Their care and concern for not just our safety re: trekking to high altitudes, but that we had a great time along the way made the long endurance days and cold nights all worth it! We took the helicopter ride back from Kala Patthar to Kathmandu - taking in the breathtaking mountains and seeing from the air the long track and many towns we had trekked through - the perfect way to end a trip of a lifetime!
What our customers ask about Nepal Guided Tours & Trips
How experienced are the guides on Nepal tours?
Nepal's guides are skilled professionals who bring deep expertise in mountaineering and local culture. TourRadar reviews highlight guides like Nima who has spent "20 years of experience in trekking Himalayas." These government-licensed professionals speak fluent English and know the popular routes inside out from Everest Base Camp to Annapurna. Their credentials are substantial. Take Nima for instance who has "climbed Everest 8 times and Island peak 200 times." Beyond technical skills they're trained in essential safety measures including first aid altitude sickness management and understanding of local customs.
What is the best time to book a fully guided tour in Nepal?
Peak seasons for Nepal tours fall in October-November after the monsoon and March-May during spring. These months provide reliable weather conditions and clear views of the mountains particularly for treks in the Annapurna and Everest regions. Booking data shows October and April attract the highest number of travelers. The summer monsoon season from June to August brings heavy rains while winter months from December to February work well for exploring cultural sites in Kathmandu and Pokhara despite cold temperatures at higher elevations.
What accommodations can I expect during a fully guided Nepal tour?
Your accommodation will shift between city hotels and mountain teahouses depending on location. In Kathmandu expect 3-star properties such as Hotel Moonlight or Harmika Hotel Boudha with standard modern comforts. The trekking routes feature authentic teahouses in places like Namche Bazaar and Ghorepani offering simple clean rooms with shared facilities. A TourRadar guest noted: "The guesthouse booked during the trek were great" with guides making sure "we get the best rooms with views." Be prepared for limited hot water and electricity at higher elevations.
What meals are included on fully guided tours in Nepal?
Most tours cover daily breakfast in hotels and all meals during treks. City stops in Kathmandu and Pokhara let you try genuine Nepali dishes at local establishments. On the trails teahouses serve traditional fare like dal bhat (lentils and rice) momos (dumplings) and Western options. One TourRadar traveler shared: "Food was sufficient cooked organic balanced diet and we had a lot." Special diets including vegetarian vegan and gluten-free needs can be met with advance notice.
How do guides handle emergencies or altitude sickness during Nepal tours?
Safety preparation is thorough with guides carrying essential emergency gear including first aid kits oxygen meters and satellite phones for remote areas. A TourRadar review highlights this care: "When I felt ill from mountain sickness Nuru took me to the pharmacist and checked up regularly on me." Daily oxygen monitoring pace adjustment and evacuation coordination are standard practices. Guides stay connected with Kathmandu offices and can arrange helicopter evacuations from spots like Everest Base Camp if needed.
How do group sizes impact the guided tour experience in Nepal?
Tour groups are kept manageable to ensure personal attention. Cultural tours usually range from 8-15 participants while trekking groups stay smaller with 4-10 people. Tour data reveals many travelers especially on routes like the Everest View Trek prefer private guides with 73% being solo travelers. As one TourRadar reviewer stated: "Being a solo traveller safety is always priority. And I've felt safe throughout the trek" with dedicated guide support.
