Reviews of Indonesia Family Tours
- 7 Days in Bali ParadiseAfter bookling a Vietnam Tour we decided to add this tour to the end of our trip and we're glad we did. The Temples of Siem Reap are amazing. Narong was our personal tour guide. We wanted to add a temple that was not part of the package and he arranged to fit that in as well. He was very knowledgable and provided us some great education about the Temples we visted, the many carvings on the walls and the overall history of Cambodia. Miuch like Vietnam the food was excellent but slighlty different especially with their use of spices such as Curry. Lucy Do in the office made sure all of our needs were met and stayed in touch with us to make sure we were happy.
- Best of Bali & Komodo EscapeIncredible adventure!! I personalised this tour to skip Bali and went to Ubud and Komodo. The hotels used were fantastic and very well located, with the views in Komodo out of this world. The driver guides for the day trips in Ubud friendly and knowledgeable and we saw so many cool places, they even took us to extra sights we wanted to see. The boat trip to Komodo was the highlight with the most stunning beaches I've ever seen, and of course the huge Komodo dragons. Communication from Vio Travel was excellent from start to finish, as well as there local contact via WhatsApp when in Indonesia, there was always someone to ask any questions or assist. I highly recommend this trip and Vio Travel, thank you!!
- 5 Days Unforgettable Experience Tour Bali - Nusa PenidaOur tour guides were amazing and friendly. They made out trip so easy ans full of knowledge and joy.
What our customers ask about Indonesia Family Tours
- What is the best time of year to visit Indonesia with family?- The dry season from April to October provides optimal weather conditions for family activities in Indonesia. Expect sunny days and low rainfall perfect for exploring destinations like Nusa Dua and Sanur. A TourRadar traveler notes: "The shoulder seasons of May-June and September-October are also excellent times to visit with fewer crowds but still great weather." While Ubud's cultural activities run year-round you'll want to schedule morning outings during the wet season from November to March to avoid afternoon showers. Beach activities in Bali are particularly enjoyable during July and August though prices tend to be higher during these peak months.
- Which regions in Indonesia are most suitable for a family vacation?- Bali remains the top choice for family travel with three key areas: Ubud for cultural immersion and nature activities Best Western Premier Agung Resort serving as a comfortable base. Nusa Dua attracts families seeking water sports and pristine beaches while Sanur's gentle waters work well for young children. A TourRadar traveler shares: "Nusa Penida was amazing and the hotel was spot on. Just what we needed. After a day of touring going back to our hotel for a swim and a lovely meal was perfect." The Benoa Sea Suites and Villas in Nusa Dua offers family-sized rooms and easy access to local attractions.
- What are the best family-friendly activities available in Indonesia?- Families can fill their days with varied activities across Indonesia. The Ayung River near Ubud offers white water rafting while Crystal Bay in Nusa Penida provides safe snorkeling spots. Children can meet over 1000 birds at the Bali Bird Park or spend time with elephants at Ubud's Elephant Park. One TourRadar traveler reports: "The elephant bath experience was incredible for our whole family especially the kids who loved getting up close with these gentle giants." Additional options include bicycle rides through rice fields village visits and cooking classes at places like The Samsara Living Museum where families learn to prepare local dishes together.
- What are the best cultural experiences for children in Indonesia?- Indonesian cultural experiences blend education with entertainment for young visitors. The Ubud Monkey Forest combines wildlife watching with lessons in local ecology. Children can join cooking classes at the Samsara Living Museum as noted by a TourRadar traveler: "The cooking class was fantastic for the kids - they loved making their own traditional dishes and learning about local spices." The village of Pekarangan welcomes young visitors to learn kite-making alongside local children while the Barong Dance in Batubulan shows traditional performing arts in an engaging format.
- What accommodations are available for families in Indonesia?- Four-star hotels with family amenities form the backbone of Indonesian family accommodations. The Grand Inna Kuta Beach Hotel in the Kuta/Legian area provides family rooms and swimming pools. Ubud's Tjampuhan Hotel combines traditional architecture with modern needs including connecting rooms. A TourRadar traveler notes: "The hotel was well located on the main tourist street which was both good and bad. Great for food choice each night." Most properties can house families of 3-4 in single rooms with connecting options for larger groups.
- How safe is Indonesia for family travel?- Tourist areas like Bali and Nusa Dua maintain high safety standards for families. Hotels employ security measures while tour operators follow strict safety protocols. A TourRadar traveler confirms: "Our guide was excellent with safety procedures during the white water rafting making sure all family members especially children were properly equipped and briefed."
