Bali Family Trips/Tours Reviews
- 10 Days The Best of Bali, Gilis and Nusa Penida Island Experience
This is a really memorable trip for me. Tour leaders Riki and Yustus are responsible, caring, funny and did their best to make this tour an interesting and fun one. For potential participants who are worrying about the difficult traffic situation in Bali, don’t worry as Dika is good driver who made the long car trips safe. As the tour group is small, we had the chance to enquire and interact with the guides to understand more about Bali. Also, we were able to make flexible changes to the itinerary so we could have arrangements by ourselves too. For those who love to party, the guides will bring you to the popular places and party together as well! They are more like friends than just guides. As of the accommodations, hope the company could be able to provide the exact details of the accommodation for the future participants so they could be better prepared for the environment. Overall, this is a great trip for me!
- Bangkok, Singapore And Bali
We had a great time on this trip....most of the included options are in Bangkok so it did feel a bit overwhelming while getting used to the time change. Hotels were located in great areas...the Singapore hotel is ridiculously small for two adults to share but we were able to upgrade to a larger room on our own. The tour guides in each country were prompt, knowledgeable and extremely courteous. On the downside the staff at Wandering left alot to desired...delays in providing our travel documentation, providing conflicting information; our internal flight from Bangkok to Singapore was stressful as we were charged exorbitant excess weight charges because our luggage weight was not properly handled by the tour operator. Note we prepaid for the bags for a certain weight which wasn't the case. Lots of going back and forth with folks who do this for a living as we tried to ensure we eould and should l ow better. I would recommend the tour but Rose and crew do need pay closer attention to the details.
- 7 Days Bali and Gili Islands Epic Experience
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was a good variety of activities and we got to see and do a lot in the 7 days. We would liked to have had more details before the tour in terms of what was included and what wasn’t (i.e.meals, tips, etc.) And it seems odd that the tour would end on an island with no included transportation to an airport or back to a more major island. But our guide and driver did a great job.
What our customers ask about Bali Family Tours & Vacation Packages
What's the best time of year to visit Bali with family?
Bali's dry season from April to October provides ideal conditions for family travel with temperatures between 27-30°C (80-86°F) and minimal rain. While July and August draw the largest crowds many families find May June and September offer an excellent mix of good weather and manageable tourist numbers. Higher-elevation areas like Ubud and Bedugul stay naturally cooler throughout the year making outdoor activities more comfortable. Hotel rates tend to spike during peak season but shoulder months often feature promotional deals at family resorts. A TourRadar traveler shared: "We got to see a lot of Bali very quickly without needing to plan a thing and the team were very flexible with activities based on our timing and weather."
What are the best family-friendly activities and attractions in Bali?
Families will find plenty to do across Bali from snorkeling at Crystal Bay to meeting the resident monkeys at Ubud's Sacred Monkey Forest. The Bali Bird Park lets children get close to over 1000 exotic birds while the Elephant Safari Park in Ubud offers supervised interactions with elephants. Beach areas like Jimbaran provide calm waters for swimming and resorts such as Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach cater specifically to families with children's programs. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The guides were amazing with the kids and made every activity feel safe and exciting. From rafting to temple visits everything was perfectly paced for families."
What are the best areas to stay in Bali with children?
Nusa Dua stands out for families with its protected beaches and resorts like The Mulia Resort that focus on family amenities. Sanur offers a quieter setting with gentle waters and a paved beach path perfect for strollers. In the cultural heart of Bali Ubud provides unique experiences through properties like Kamandalu Ubud which balance luxury with local charm. A TourRadar traveler confirmed: "Staying at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua was perfect for our family - safe beaches great pools and plenty of activities for the kids."
How safe is Bali for family travel?
The main tourist areas of Bali maintain high safety standards with strong infrastructure medical facilities and family-oriented environments. Areas like Nusa Dua Ubud and Seminyak feature properties such as The Tribe Bali Kuta Beach Hotel with round-the-clock security. According to a TourRadar traveler: "I NEVER felt unsafe. The driving was A+++ and the guides were so fun kind and full of knowledge." Standard precautions apply: use established tour operators keep valuables secure and stay alert in busy areas.
What should families pack for a trip to Bali?
Pack light breathable clothes swimwear sun protection and insect repellent for Bali's tropical climate. Temple visits require modest dress covering shoulders and knees. A TourRadar traveler suggests "Proper hiking shoes warm clothes and a jacket" particularly for activities like the Mount Batur sunrise trek. While basic medicines are available in tourist areas bring any specific medications your family needs. Most accommodations including the Neo+ Legian Hotel provide basic toiletries allowing more space in your luggage for essentials.
