What people love about Coach / Bus Tours from London
- European Encounter (Winter, Start London, Classic)
I went on this tour in 2014 on my own having never traveled on my own either! However I learnt so much not only about myself but about the history of beautiful landmarks all over Europe! This was all because of my amazing tour guide Megs! She had such a bright, bubbly personality with such an incredible passion for the history of the places we went to and the importance of a particular spot and landmark! She had all the knowledge of how long it had been there, why it was put there and why it was what it was!!! her passion for the history made me have a the same passion! I spent my last week in London after the tour in bookshops buying books to read on the plane ride back to Australia!! I am still learning about European history to this day! I can't get enough!! Megs made it so interesting she had costumes and so so so much knowledge of every single place!! If there was anything else we needed or wanted to do we asked her and she knew exactly where we needed to go! But if she didn't she found out and got back to us within the hour! I wanted to do a French cooking class and she went and did the research for me! I can not thank, appreciate and adore Megs enough for the trip she took us on! She absolutely made the trip!
- Best of Europe
I went on the22 Day Best of Europe Tour on September 2011. It was my first time to Europe and I was travelling by myself. It was best vacation I had ever had! Loved the tour guide Ali and our driver Drew! I have recommended Expat to everyone I know! Will definitely use Expat again! - Luzena Dumercy -
- Best of Western Europe
Wonderful accommodations and great itinerary that allowed flexibility for free time to explore venues. The bus driver was excellent and his skill allowed me to relax and enjoy the ride and scenery.
What our customers ask about Coach / Bus Tours from London
What is the typical length of bus tours leaving from London?
Bus tours from London run anywhere from 9 to 45 days. Most people choose either a 9-10 day trip covering Britain and Ireland's highlights, 16 days exploring key European cities, or up to 45 days to see everything Europe has to offer. On the 16-day European Discovery tour, you'll spend time in Paris, Amsterdam, Munich and Rome, staying at places like the Tulip Inn Riverside in Amsterdam and Ibis hotels in Paris.
Which places do most London bus tours visit?
Most tours take you to Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, Venice, Rome and Florence. You'll get to see famous spots like the Eiffel Tower, Colosseum and Venice's canals. One TourRadar traveler told us these cities give you a perfect taste of both historic and modern Europe.
How long will I spend on the bus each day?
You'll usually be on the road between 3-6 hours when traveling between cities. Getting from London to Paris takes about 7 hours including the ferry ride, while Amsterdam to Berlin is roughly 6 hours. The buses are comfortable, and you'll stop every 2-3 hours at rest areas to stretch your legs and grab snacks.
What meals come with London bus tours?
Your tour usually covers breakfast every day plus some dinners during the week - typically 3-6. For example, if you take the European Discovery tour, you get 11 breakfasts and 3 dinners. Longer trips like the Ultimate European include 44 breakfasts and 15 dinners. If you have special dietary needs like vegetarian, vegan or halal food, restaurants near starting points like the Strand Palace Hotel in London can accommodate you.
Where do London bus tours go first?
Most tours head to either Paris or Amsterdam first, going through Dover and Calais. You'll get to see the White Cliffs of Dover before taking the ferry across to mainland Europe. Depending on your tour, you might stay at places like the Ibis la Defense in Paris or the Hampton by Hilton in Amsterdam - both are well-located for exploring the cities. As one TourRadar traveler said: "The transition from London through Dover and into mainland Europe was seamless, and seeing the White Cliffs was a perfect start to our continental adventure."
Where do London bus tours usually stop overnight?
You'll often spend nights in Paris at the Ibis la Defense, Amsterdam at the Hampton by Hilton, Venice at the Novotel Mestre Castellana, and in the Swiss Alps at the Alpenrose Hotel & Gardens. These hotels make it easy to explore each city and the surrounding areas. One TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The hotels were well-located for exploring each city, especially in Paris where we could easily access all the main attractions."
