What people love about Alexandria Tours
- Golden Cairo
Michael our tour guide, was beyond what we were expecting, his friendly and welcoming manner made us feel very safe and very well informed at all times. He answered every question we had in great detail, his knowledge of Egypt is undeniably a great asset to timeless tours and have nothing but positive things to say about him. It was an absolute pleasure to have him in our company for the 5 days we were in Egypt. Both the oasis and lotus hotel provided the basics and were standard hotels, oasis you have to pay for the internet however at lotus there is free wifi in the lobby which is helpful. The 2 over night trains included in the tour are on the more comfortable side of overnight transport I have experienced although on the way back from Luxor to Cairo the airconditioning was awfully cold so pack a long pair of trousers and a couple jumpers to stay warm during the night. We did have a little trouble at the airport where we were to meet a representative to take us to our hotel but we found him in the end thanks to some friendly egyptair workers at the airport. Overall for the price you pay for the tour everything was great. But again Michael was sure a highlight of this trip, And also a thank you to Pebo, for always smiling and being so friendly. Thank you so much.
- Package 5 Days Discover Giza Pyramids, Sightseeing Cairo and Sightseeing Alexandria
Our guide was friendly, incredibly knowledgable and a lot of fun! He gave us so much history at each place. We also got to see some shops as well - a carpet school, an essential oil/perfume shop, and a papyrus shop. It was a quick tour as there is so much more to see in Egypt. For the 3 days of touring we did, I feel we got great value. Would book with them again. Our driver was great as well!
- Cairo & Alexandra
The Tour Company organized everything very well. We went for an upgrade on the accomodation to 5* and the chosen hotel was very good. Our Cairo guide, Essam was so good. He explained a lot of history in great detail and was also very patient with some personal requests that we had. Just one negative experience with the driver that took us to Alexandria and back: he didn't know the road out of Cairo and once we got to Alexandria he didn't know how to get to the first site. He had to stop continuosly to ask for directions. I even offered for him to use my Google Maps but he declined. Took us 4 hrs to get to Alexandria and then 3.5hrs back as he lost his way back to Cairo. Very embarasing. Apart from this, the trip was a lot of fun!!

What's the best time of year to visit Alexandria?
Alexandria's Mediterranean climate makes spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) the most comfortable seasons for exploring. These months provide mild temperatures perfect for walking along the Corniche waterfront or through the Montazah Gardens. The city experiences humid summers while winters bring occasional rain but stay relatively mild. Visitors often choose to stay at Le Metropole Hotel on Saad Zaghloul Street which provides easy access to main attractions.
