What our customers ask about Bohemia Tours & Trips
What's Bohemia - is it the same as Czech Republic?
While Bohemia used to cover a bigger area historically it's now the western two-thirds of the Czech Republic. When you're touring there you'll really get to explore the heart of Czech culture and history - it's pretty amazing actually.
What can I really experience that's unique in Bohemia?
You've got to check out the Five-Petalled Rose Celebrations in Český Krumlov if you're there in June - our travelers just love it with all the medieval costumes and historical reenactments. The Bone Church near Kutná Hora is absolutely wild it's decorated with thousands of human bones and trust me you won't forget that experience. If you're into staying active our Cycling Bohemia tour from Vienna to Prague (tour 247415) is fantastic you get to bike through these charming villages try local beers and explore medieval castles like Karlštejn - it's a real adventure.
Where should I visit besides Prague?
Český Krumlov is just stunning - it's UNESCO listed and you can visit it on our 4-day Prague tour (237033) which includes a day trip there. Karlovy Vary is amazing for its thermal springs and spa culture you can experience it on our 5-day tour (295249) that covers Prague Český Krumlov and Karlovy Vary. Kutná Hora's really interesting with its silver mines and that unique Bone Church - check it out on our 5-day Fun Holiday tour (244461). For something different Holašovice is this beautiful UNESCO village with traditional Peasant Baroque architecture it's really worth seeing.
How do I get around Bohemia easily?
The public transport here is really good and won't break the bank - trains and buses connect pretty much everywhere you'd want to go. A lot of our tours include private transfers which makes everything super smooth. In Prague you might want to try the hop-on hop-off bus that's part of our 5-day tour (295249) it gives you loads of freedom to explore. If you're feeling adventurous our cycling tour from Vienna to Prague (247415) takes you through some beautiful countryside routes connecting all these historic towns.
