Itinerary
- Day 1
Porto to Pinhão
Your cycling adventure starts when you arrive in Porto. After you get the briefing about what to expect over the next week, you'll transfer to Pinhão where the actual riding begins. This gives you a chance to settle in and prepare for the terrain ahead.

Mirandela
From Pinhão, you'll cycle through Murça, an area filled with old stories, vineyards, and olive groves. There's a stop to try the local Favaios liqueur wine before you keep riding toward Mirandela. Once you get there, you can walk around the city and sample what it's known for - Terrincho cheese, sausages, and honey that locals are proud of.

- Day 3
Bragança
This is a tough day on the bike with steady climbing throughout. After passing Macedo de Cavaleiros, you'll see the Azibo delta area spread out around you. By the end of the day, you'll roll into Bragança, the main city in the region and your entry point to Montesinho, one of Portugal's oldest national parks with lots of hiking and natural beauty nearby.

Bragança to Miranda do Douro
The route heads to Miranda do Douro by crossing the Maças River and passing near Vimioso. As you ride, you'll enter the International Douro landscape where the terrain really changes. Once there, you can try Mirandesa steak and meet people who speak Mirandês, a language that goes back centuries and connects to Iberian history in interesting ways.

Landmarks/POIs Maças River Vimioso Miranda do Douro Douro River - Day 5
Miranda do Douro to Alfândega da Fé
Riding to Alfândega da Fé means feeling all those climbs catching up with you from the previous days. The route takes you through the Natural Park of Douro and crosses the Sabor River along the way, so there's plenty of natural scenery to take in between the tough sections.

Alfândega da Fé to Tua River Delta
This day mixes descents and climbs nicely. You'll start by dropping into the Vilariça Valley, then climb up to Seixo de Manhoses village before descending all the way to the Douro River. From there, you follow a path along the scenic Tua River waterfront until you reach where it meets the Douro at the delta.

Departure
Your week on the bike comes to an end. From the delta area, you'll transfer back to Porto so you can catch your next flight or connection home, giving you time to reflect on the cycling and the region you've covered.
