Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
Land at Tribhuwan International Airport and meet your representative who'll drive you to the hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to recover from travel without any scheduled activities.
- Day 2
Kathmandu
A guided tour takes you through Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO sites. You'll see Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple to get a feel for Nepal's architecture, historic palaces, and sculptures.

Kathmandu to Machha Khola
Your guide picks you up around 8 AM for the drive to Machha Khola. The first five hours follow smooth, paved roads to Tari Bensi (115 km away), then the route gets bumpy and rougher as you approach Machha Khola. You'll stay at a guesthouse overnight.

Machha Khola to Budhi Gandaki Valley
Today's trek crosses the Machha River and Khrolabesi, taking you past hot springs at Tatopani. The walk goes through forested areas and over Dovan Khola before reaching the Budhi Gandaki Valley where elevation increases and white sandy areas line the riverside. Another night at a guesthouse.

Budhi Gandaki Valley to Deng
The trek continues with gentle ups and downs through Jagat village and up the valley to Sirdabas with views of Sringi Himal. You'll cross a long suspension bridge and climb steeply up to Deng. Later in the afternoon, explore the village and surrounding hillsides before staying at a guesthouse.

Deng to Namrung
Trek deeper into Manaslu along the Budhi Gandaki River through forests and traditional villages with Tibetan influences. Multiple suspension bridges and Ghap's Buddhist sites mark your route before reaching Namrung (2,630m/8,629ft) with views of Ganesh Himal and Himal Chuli. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Namrung to Lho Gaun
Leave Namrung climbing through dense forests and terraced fields with mountain views. Pass through Lihi (2,900m/9,514ft) with its Buddhist chortens and barley fields, then Sho (2,950m/9,678ft) and its traditional stone houses. Pine forests and mani walls lead to Lho Gaun and the large Ribung Gompa monastery with Manaslu views. Stay at a guesthouse.

Lho Gaun to Samagaon
Hike 8-9 km to Samagaon (3,520m/11,548ft) over 4-5 hours. The trail climbs gradually through dense forests, yak pastures, and traditional villages. Pass Shyala Village with panoramic peak views, then arrive at Samagaon surrounded by mountains and glaciers. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Samagaon
An acclimatization day lets your body adjust to altitude. Choose a full day walk (6-7 hours round trip) to Manaslu Base Camp or take a shorter half-day option to the glacier or Birendra Tal. Overnight at the guesthouse.

Samagaon to Samdo
Leave Samagaon following the Budhi Gandaki River through open fields and yak pastures with Manaslu views. Climb through sparse forests and moraines as terrain becomes barren at high altitude. Reach Samdo, a traditional Tibetan-influenced village near the Nepal-Tibet border, where monasteries and yak herding culture offer local insights. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Samdo to Dharmasala (Larke Phedi)
From Samdo, ascend gradually through barren hills and rocky terrain beside the Larkya Khola River. Small stone shelters used by yak herders dot the landscape alongside views of Manaslu and Syacha Glacier. The terrain turns increasingly rugged and windswept with fewer trees. Reach Dharmasala (Larke Phedi), a small settlement with basic teahouses, your last stop before the pass. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Landmarks/POIs Manaslu Syacha Glacier Larkya La Pass - Day 12
Dharmasala (Larke Phedi) to Bhimtang
Start before dawn climbing gradually over rocky terrain with moraine fields and glacial lakes. Head toward Larkya La Pass with views of Himlung, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. The final stretch is steep and demanding but offers panoramic mountain views. Descend through snow-covered slopes and loose scree into grassy meadows past Dangboche Kharka, reaching Bhimtang (3,590m/11,778ft) in a beautiful valley. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Bhimtang to Goa
Trek 19 km over 6-7 hours descending through alpine meadows into dense rhododendron and pine forests. Follow the Dudh Khola River passing small settlements with several suspension bridges and crossings, catching occasional glimpses of Manaslu and surrounding peaks. The path goes through Surki Khola before reaching Goa (2,515m/8,251ft), a peaceful village surrounded by lush greenery. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Goa to Kathmandu
Your final hiking day starts with climbing over a stone-paved ridge through a beautiful village. Cross the Dudh Khola by bridge and pass through a chorten-shaped archway following a mani wall to Thonje. After crossing the Marsyangdi river, ascend to Dharapani where the Manaslu Trek ends. Transfer to Kathmandu by private vehicle (8-9 hours total). Clean up and explore restaurants and markets for your last evening. Overnight at a hotel.

Kathmandu to Departure
A Nepal Hiking Team representative picks you up about 3 hours before your flight and transfers you to the airport for departure with memories from your Manaslu trek.
