Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and have a welcome meeting with the group. After that, the afternoon and evening are yours to explore the capital however you'd like. Grab some gyros and ouzo with fellow travelers if you're interested, or wander around on your own and get a feel for the city.

Athens to Thessaloniki
Start with a guided tour of the Acropolis, walking through the Propylaia to see the Parthenon and its impressive Doric architecture. Later in the afternoon, you'll board a train heading to Thessaloniki, Greece's second largest city, which comes alive in the evenings with lots to see and do.

- Day 3
Thessaloniki
Spend your day exploring Thessaloniki's cultural offerings. Head to the waterfront and check out the White Tower, then walk through Byzantine churches to see their frescoes. Ottoman sites and Roman ruins are scattered around town, and you'll find the city has a strong food scene. If you want local insights, there's an urban adventure option or you can visit NAOMI to learn about their refugee work.

- Day 4
Thessaloniki to Kalambaka
You'll travel by train and private transfer to Kalambaka, which takes about 3.5 hours. Your leader will give you a short walking tour of the town once you arrive. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the scenic area and the Meteora landscape around you. Head to a local taverna for dinner and walk the main square to experience the local vibe.

Landmarks Meteora - Day 5
Meteora
This is the day you'll climb the rock formations to visit the ancient monasteries perched 400 meters above. You'll follow the same paths monks have used for centuries to reach these 14th-century structures. Six of the original 24 monasteries are still occupied, and inside you'll see woodcarvings, frescoes, and paintings. The views from the top looking down at the town and colored rock faces are hard to beat.

Kalambaka to Delphi
A private transfer takes you to Delphi, about 4 hours away. On the way, you'll stop at a local olive farm to taste different olives and oils, then have lunch with valley views. You can relax and swim at the farm before heading to Delphi. Your leader will walk you through the cliffside town, then guide you through the archaeological sites including the sanctuaries of Apollo and Athena, temples, theatre, and the Athenian Treasury.

Delphi to Athens
You'll travel back to Athens by bus, arriving late afternoon after about 3.5 hours. From there, head to Monastiraki flea market for souvenirs or stroll through the Greek National Gardens if you want something quieter. Check out the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with its guard ceremony, and the Panathinaiko Stadium that hosted the first modern Olympics in 1896.

You have the entire day free to explore Athens at your own pace. There's a group meeting at 6 pm at your hotel so you can catch up with fellow travelers.

Athens to Syros
Take the metro to Piraeus port, then board a ferry to Syros in the Cyclades, which takes about 4 hours. You'll arrive at an island with authentic Greek character, whitewashed houses, farms, and sandy beaches. Your leader takes you through Ermoupolis, the main town with its neoclassical mansions and 19th-century buildings. Stop by a family-run loukoumi workshop to see how they make these fruit jellies and wafers, then settle at a waterfront café to watch the sunset turn the houses pink.

Syros
Walk through Ano Syros, the fortress-like town with great Aegean views, and wander the narrow alleyways past handmade shops and tavernas playing traditional Rembetiko music. You can explore abandoned windmills, ancient ruins, and charming villages at your own pace, or relax on quiet coves and clear beaches. In the evening, join other travelers for dinner at a remote taverna on the rugged northern part of the island while watching the sun set.

Syros to Mykonos
A two-hour ferry gets you to Mykonos, known for its style, nightlife, and decadence. Your leader walks you through the old town's maze of white houses and brilliant blue sea. Browse galleries and boutiques, walk past tiny churches and restaurants to reach secluded beaches. Spend the afternoon swimming and soaking up the sun. After checking in, explore the bars and clubs or find a traditional backstreet restaurant for dinner.

Mykonos - Delos
Take a half-day trip to nearby Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in the Greek Islands. Walk through where wealthy residents once lived in luxurious mansions decorated with frescoes and mosaics, check out the Terrace of the Lions and Sacred Precinct. Back on Mykonos in the afternoon, relax at Paradise or Super Paradise beach bars, or find a quieter spot along the coast. You can also visit the House of Lena or the Aegean Maritime Museum in town.

Mykonos to Santorini
Another ferry takes you to Santorini, about 2.5 hours away. The island's whitewashed buildings with blue domes cling to cliff faces and it's one of Europe's most visited spots for good reason. Explore Ancient Thira ruins and its Prehistoric Museum, check out the Akrotiri archaeological site showing a Minoan Bronze Age settlement, and visit Thira town. Try the volcanic black beaches at Perissa or Vlhada, or head to Red Beach. The volcanic soil here produces exceptional local food and wines.

Santorini
You'll walk along the dramatic crater rim from Thira town through charming villages to Oia, passing steep cliff faces the whole way. This walk shows you the caldera that formed when a volcanic eruption sank the island's center in 1500 BC. Optional excursions can take you to the volcano and hot springs, or you can visit one of the unique wineries where vines are pruned into low basket shapes. On your final evening, mingle with locals in crowded pubs sipping cocktails and watching the Santorini sunset.
