Sydney to Otford to Wollongong
Start your journey by taking the train from central Sydney to Otford, where you'll pick up your bike and meet your guide. The day begins with a short climb, then you'll have coastal views as you cycle along a route that crosses the Sea Cliff Bridge over the Pacific. You'll pass through Thirroul, a well-known surfing spot, and follow the coastal path all the way to Wollongong. There are plenty of cafes with ocean views scattered along the route where you can take breaks and grab something to eat.

You'll have time to have tea, walk through the temple grounds, and light incense if you'd like. After that, keep cycling past Lake Illawarra and through Bombo heading toward Kiama, which sits among rugged coastal cliffs and blowholes. You'll also get to see the ancient rainforest and some good surfing beaches in the area. From here, you'll cycle to Gerringong (you can take the train to skip the highway if needed, depending on tides). The route drops down to Gerroa with nice coastal views, then continues past the Crooked River to Seven Mile Beach, one of the longest stretches of sand on the South Coast. Along the way, you can stop at Coolangatta Estate winery or Two Figs Winery if they're open (they usually start from late morning). You'll follow the Shoalhaven River and cross it when you reach Nowra, which is the largest coastal town in the region. Stop for lunch or coffee in the centre, where you'll be surrounded by farmland and vineyards. After that, you'll ride along a scenic back road through typical Australian bushland with eucalyptus trees and farms. Once you cross the highway, you'll head back toward the coast and arrive at Huskisson and nearby Jervis Bay.
