Arrival
You'll arrive at the hotel whenever works for you and make your own way there. Once you're settled, there's a welcome meeting where you'll meet your group and get to know your guide.

Athens
An archaeologist guides you through ancient Athens, starting with the Acropolis and Parthenon temple. After that, you'll walk through the ancient Agora where Athenians used to gather and conduct business. Lunch happens at Shedia Home, a non-profit cafe supported by G Adventures, so you're supporting the community while eating.

Athens to Kalambaka
You'll leave Athens heading toward Kalambaka with a stop at Thermopylae to see the bronze Leonidas statue. In the afternoon, a truffle hunter and his dogs take you into the woods to show how they work. You'll sample mushrooms and wine under ancient trees, then sit down for an early dinner featuring truffle pasta.

Kalambaka to Delphi
The morning focuses on Meteora's monasteries, which sit on top of massive sandstone cliffs. You'll visit chapels with beautiful frescoes and take in the countryside views. From there, you'll continue to Delphi and visit the Temple of Apollo, the legendary home of the ancient Greek oracle.

Delphi to Olympia
A guide takes you through mystical Delphi, then you'll spend time on your own at the Archaeological Museum. Later, you'll travel along the Gulf of Corinth and cross the Rio-Antirrio Bridge into the Peloponnese. Once in Olympia, there's an orientation walk, and dinner is left to your preference.

Olympia to Nafplio
The day covers the archaeological site of Olympia, including the Temples of Zeus and Hera and the ancient stadium where the Olympic Games started in 776 BC. You'll then head to Nafplio for a local guide walk through the old town, checking out Bourtzi Castle and Palamidi Fortress. The day finishes with gelato from Greece's most famous shop.

Nafplio to Nemea
You have the morning free to walk around Nafplio and do your own thing. In the afternoon, you'll head to Mycenae, the Bronze Age city where King Agamemnon ruled. A guided tour takes you through this UNESCO World Heritage Site, walking through the famed Lion Gate. After exploring, there's a wine tasting with cheese and mezze plates at a regional winery.

Landmarks/POIs Mycenae Lion Gate - Day 8
Nemea to Athens
You'll stop at Epidaurus to see the Aesklipion, the first recorded hospital, and its ancient theatre that still functions today. Then you'll drive north over the Isthmus of Corinth, crossing the famous Corinth Canal as you return to Athens. The evening is yours, with an optional farewell dinner available if you want one.
