Itinerary
- Day 1
Zagreb
You'll arrive in Zagreb whenever works for you and head to the hotel. After checking in around 3:00pm, there's a welcome meeting with your tour leader and an orientation walk through the old city to get oriented. The rest of the day is yours to explore the museums or try some local food. If you want, join the group for dinner at a local restaurant to meet everyone.

Zagreb to Split
Head out early for Plitvice Lakes National Park. You'll walk along boardwalks past waterfalls and turquoise pools formed by travertine barriers, and a guide will tell you about the wildlife and birds in this UNESCO site. After lunch on your own, you'll drive down the Adriatic coast and arrive in Split for the night.

Split
Following breakfast, explore Split's old town with a local guide who'll show you Diocletian's Palace, built with white stone and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll walk through cobblestone streets and see the Riva waterfront area. The afternoon is free, so you can either wander on your own or join an optional trip to the historic city of Trogir.

Split to Hvar
Board a catamaran this morning heading to Hvar town. A local guide will walk you through the main square, St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Franciscan Monastery, and Fortica Fortress. You'll stroll along the Riva Promenade looking out at the harbor and islands, then head up to the Citadel. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is open for whatever you'd like to do.

Hvar
Travel to Stari Grad, an ancient Greek settlement and one of Europe's oldest towns with UNESCO-protected remains. From there, walk through Brusje, a largely abandoned shepherd's village, and continue to Malo Grablje, a ghost town empty since the 1960s. Stop for lunch at Berti's Konoba, the only operating restaurant there, where the owner can share stories. Later you'll return to Hvar with the rest of the day to relax.

Hvar to Dubrovnik
Cross the Neretva Channel by ferry to Ston, known for its defensive walls and oyster farms. There's a wine and oyster demonstration followed by a local lunch. Then continue on to Dubrovnik, the medieval city on the coast surrounded by historic walls with great architecture, museums, and fountains throughout.

Dubrovnik
Visit a family-run agrotourism villa with Mediterranean gardens and Adriatic views. A local host will walk you around the grounds where you can pick fresh fruits and vegetables, watch baking, then share a traditional lunch with local ham, cheeses, and wine. Back in Dubrovnik, check out the Red History Museum about former Yugoslavia life, then see the Maritimo Recycling project where artists create from sea waste. There's an optional group dinner this evening.
