Düsseldorf
You'll board the MS RIVER DIAMOND in Düsseldorf with check-in beginning at 4:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, there's time to walk around the city and check out the Christmas markets before heading to the ship. Once on board, you'll have a welcome cocktail and dinner, then settle in for an overnight sail.

- Day 2
Düsseldorf to Koblenz
After spending the morning cruising with lunch included, you'll pull into Koblenz where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet. The ship docks near Deutsches Eck, and you'll have free time to wander through this historic city that goes back over 2,000 years. The Christmas markets are worth checking out too. Later that evening, the ship sails again overnight.

- Day 3
Koblenz - Mainz - Rüdesheim
You'll wake up in Mainz, the birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg and his movable-type printing press. The old city has a cathedral that's stood for a thousand years, and there's a modern university atmosphere throughout. By mid-afternoon, you'll sail to Rüdesheim and dock there for the night.

Rüdesheim - Cologne - Düsseldorf
The ship heads through the Romantic Rhine, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its beautiful river landscapes and historical legends including the Loreley siren myth. Early in the afternoon, you'll arrive in Cologne and can explore the old town, which culminates at the famous Cologne Cathedral. After dinner, the ship continues sailing to Düsseldorf through the night.

It's time to leave the ship in Düsseldorf. After breakfast, you'll need to be out of your cabin by 9:00 a.m., though the reception desk can hold your luggage if needed. Depending on your departure time, you can spend some time exploring the city before heading off.
