Zagreb
You'll arrive in Zagreb and get settled into your hotel. After that, take a walking tour through Croatia's capital to get your bearings and see what the city's all about. The rest of the evening is yours to explore the city center on your own, wander around, and try some local restaurants.

Zagreb
A guided walking tour covers Zagreb's main spots starting at Zrinjevac Park, then moves through Ban Jelačić Square, the Cathedral, and Dolac Market before heading into the WWII tunnels. You'll take the funicular up Gričan Hill for views of the city, stop by St. Mark's Church and Lotrščak Tower, then walk through the charming streets of Upper Town and Tkalčićeva Street. The whole tour runs about 2.5 hours, leaving you with the afternoon and evening to do whatever you'd like.

Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes to Zagreb
Head out early in a small group toward Plitvice Lakes National Park. Along the way, you'll stop in Rastoke village to see the old watermills, then continue to the park for a guided experience with 8.5 km of walking on boardwalks by streams, a boat ride, and a train ride through this UNESCO site with its 16 cascading lakes and waterfalls. The drive back to Zagreb takes about 90 minutes.

Zagreb
You have the full day free in Zagreb to relax or explore however you'd like. If you're interested, there's an optional full-day trip to Ljubljana, Slovenia that includes a guided tour of the capital, a cable car ride up to Ljubljana Castle, and time at Lake Bled to see the island and castle. Transportation is included with this option, and you'll return to Zagreb in the late afternoon or evening.
