Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Athens

    You'll arrive at Athens International Airport and get picked up for a transfer to your hotel. After you check in and freshen up, take some time to walk around the neighborhoods nearby. This gives you a good sense of how the city feels and what's around your hotel.

  2. Day 2

    Athens

    Following breakfast, you'll do a half-day panoramic tour that covers the Panathenaic Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus, and Parliament building. Then you're heading to the Acropolis to see the Parthenon, Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, and Erechtheion. The New Acropolis Museum is next on your list. Your evening is open, so you can either explore more on your own or take an optional sunset tour out to Cape Sounion if that interests you.

  3. Day 3

    Athens to Paros

    After breakfast at your hotel, you'll transfer to Piraeus port and board a ferry heading to Paros. Once you arrive and check in, the afternoon is yours to relax and explore however you like. You might walk through the streets, visit some local shops, or head to one of the beaches for some downtime.

  4. Day 4

    Paros

    Starting after breakfast, you'll do an island tour that takes you through Parikia's old town with its Venetian Castle and the church of Saint Konstantinos and Eleni. From there, you'll head to nearby Antiparos to see the town and its Venetian fortress. Back on Paros, you'll visit several villages like Alyki, Driosa, and Pisso Livadi. Lefkes offers great views and you'll also check out the ancient marble quarries in Marathi. The day finishes in Naoussa, a fishing village with traditional Cycladic architecture.

  5. Day 5

    Santorini Day Cruise

    You'll have breakfast and then head out on a day cruise to Santorini, departing from Piso Livadi port. The boat takes you across the Aegean Sea to Athinios Port. A bus tour follows with stops in Oia and Fira where you can walk around and take in the local architecture and views. By evening you're back on the ferry returning to Paros.

  6. Day 6

    Mykonos and Delos Day Cruise

    After breakfast, you're boarding a day cruise heading to Mykonos and Delos. You'll start by visiting Delos, an uninhabited island with important archaeological sites from ancient Greek times. Then it's on to Mykonos where you can check out the charming town, Little Venice, and the windmills. You'll return to Paros during the early evening.

    Departure

    My agent Javi was very helpful and on point with the itinerary. Traveling with a legal blind person was made very easy and I felt that there was always someone there with a net if anything happen. I can't wait to take my next trip with Javi.

    My husband and I chose this tour specifically because it was by train and we could see so much. I have been on bus tours and didn’t want to spend days on a bus. We stayed in Frankfurt a couple days more at the beginning and we loved that. Old town Frankfurt is beautiful. We had one day in both Cologne and Bremen and felt it was enough. They are both beautiful though! Hamburg is a gorgeous port city. The Miniatur Wunderland is definitely worth the visit - it is incredible. And then the boat tour and hop on/hop off bus was also great to have. We felt that we saw so much in Hamburg in 2 days. Berlin has a guided tour, Potsdam and Sachsenhausen. All of these were great to see. We also went to Museum Island and saw a few of the museums too. I love WWII history so we got our fill of it here. Then Munich, I love Munich. We walked the Marienplatz and then there was the day trip to Linderhof and Neuschwanstein. We paid to go inside (which is extra) and we felt it was worth seeing. I did not know that Neuschwanstein was unfinished but what is there is extravagant. We also took in several beer halls including Hofbrauhaus. I think if we had another day in Munich, it would have been better (but that’s another reason to go back!). We were in constant contact with Javi, our guide, through WhatsApp. He would answer questions and offer suggestions throughout the trip. This is also how you receive your vouchers. It was the perfect balance of being on our own and being with a guided tour. There was some confusion over the transfers from the Frankfurt airport (our flight was late and the driver had left) and train stations (we didn’t know where to go), but Javi walked us through it as it happened - minor hiccups. Overall, it was an excellent trip and we would use Eurolatino tours again to help us see more of Europe by train.
