Monrovia to Buchanan
You'll start with a morning drive from Monrovia to Buchanan, a laid-back port town with wide sandy beaches. Once there, head to the open-air market to see what's happening and watch fishermen unload their daily catch. After grabbing grilled seafood for lunch, check into your beachside lodge and spend the evening strolling the shore, picking up shells or having a drink while watching the sun drop into the ocean.

Cestos River Estuary
You're heading east to the Cestos River estuary for a kayak trip through mangrove tunnels with a local guide leading the way. Keep your eyes open for egrets, herons, and monkeys hanging around in the branches. Then you'll visit a riverside village to see how people fish traditionally and learn about conservation work in the area. That night you'll settle into a tent on the beach, have dinner by the bonfire, and listen to local drumming.
