What a fantastic weekend! Dan is a legend and runs the trip so well. We explored Cornwall on foot and drove around and it was all quite flexible. The surfing was great fun and we had some good instructors. I camped out for the first time and it was surprisingly very comfortable. I'd recommend to everyone who wants to meet new people, have a great time and learn a new skill.

A wonderful Bank Holiday weekend with the HOFNAR crew!! It was great to escape London for a few days and enjoy Mawgan Porth in the glorious sunshine. Dan was a fabulous host as always. A nice little campsite at Retorrick Mill with clean facilities, bar and campfire. Great surf lessons each morning with the friendly and laid back Kingsurf instructors. Then in the afternoon you were free to be as energetic or lazy as you liked - exploring the coastal paths, chilling in a deck chair at the pub, enjoying a BBQ on the beach.

Weekend surf trip with HOFNAR, two days of chilled out fun in the Cornish countryside. I have been on a number of trips with HOFNAR and they are always the best weekends I could ask for. The hosts immediately make you feel welcome and look after you through the whole weekend, from cooking breakfast to suggesting activities and finding that perfect pub beer garden, all the while being part of the group. The campsite, Retorrick Mill has good facilities, a bar with an atmosphere that's always welcoming, an excellent onsite restaurant and an amazing relaxed night life. The surf school lessons (all included as part of the trip, along with suit and board hire) are at a fantastic place called King Surf, the instructors there are superb, with infectious enthusiasm, massive humour and they will get you standing on that board or improving your skills in no time. As a solo traveller I have met so many great people through HOFNAR, always felt part of the gang and can never wait to go on my next trip. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Most incredible weekend ever. So chill, so much fun, the camp site was so cool, had a great time surfing. Ali looked after us all so well. She went above and beyond to make it all run smoothly and make sure we all had a great time. I'll definitely be going again!

This surf weekend is 3rd surf trip I have done with Hofnar. I have also been skiing in France, a hiking/ adventure weekend in Wales as well as a summer party/ treasure hunt in London, all with Hofnar. It is the best time always! Dan has such an infecting happy personality and runs the best trips. The crew who go are normally all into the same things- outdoors, adventure and partying and normally late 20s-30s, so its a great mix, Couldn't recommend them more highly :)

After going on a Hofnar snowboarding trip earlier in the year, I discovered that they do many all year round weekend trips such as hiking and surfing, so I decided to go on this Halloween surf special, and, wow, what a weekend of fun it was, Dan (the owner and organiser) picked me up in his mini bus at a convenient place en route down to Cornwall, and I got to meet many of the weekend attendees, who I quickly became friends with! I stayed in a chalet in a beautiful camp site with three others, the chalet was absolutely great. Next morning Dan, with some help with the mammoth task, cooked up breakfast for over 30 people before we headed down to the beach for the surf activity. The surfing was excellent, Dan even arranged for the perfect weather and sea conditions ;-) In the evening we had a superb buffet of stonebaked pizza and seafood which was cooked up by the camp site workers in the modern communal area, before the Halloween party got started. At the party we dressed up (non compulsory) and had been entertained with a band. Next morning we had another surf and lesson session before heading back, on the journey back we stop via Padstow for cream tea and a little stroll. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend which I recommend for anyone who is keen for an adventure!
