Arrival
You'll arrive in Sumatra at any point during the day. After getting to your accommodation, you'll meet your CEO and the rest of your group for an initial welcome gathering. This is your chance to settle in and get oriented before the adventure begins.

Medan to Bukit Lawang
Spend your first full day exploring Medan, Sumatra's largest city. Check out the Al-Mashun Great Mosque and tour the 30-room Maimun Palace, then walk through the Chinese architecture at Vihara Gunung Timur Temple. The historic Pajak Ikan Lama market is next, followed by lunch at a local Padang restaurant. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive to Bukit Lawang where you'll stay overnight.

Bukit Lawang
Early on, you head into Gunung Leuser National Park for a moderate jungle trek looking for orangutans and other wildlife. After the hike, cool off with river tubing back to the starting point. This evening, join a local cooking class to learn how to prepare traditional Batak dishes.

Berastagi to Samosir Island
Drive to Dokan Village to meet the Batak ethnic group and explore their village, then continue to Sipiso Piso Waterfall on the way to Parapat Harbor. Take a ferry across Toba Lake to Samosir Island, a large volcanic island in the middle of the lake. Settle into your accommodation for the night with a group dinner.

Samosir Island to Medan
You'll start the day heading to Tomok to check out the local tombs and learn about Batak legends and history. From there, it's on to Ambarita Village where you can walk through traditional houses and see how people live in the community. There's a dance performance scheduled, so you'll get to watch that before grabbing lunch. After eating, you'll take the ferry back across the lake to Parapat Harbor, then drive to Medan for the evening.

Explore Jakarta's diverse attractions starting with the Istiqlal Mosque, Southeast Asia's largest, and the neo-Gothic Jakarta Cathedral. Try traditional jamu drinks, then finish the day with dinner at a local warung along Sabang Street.
