Arrival in Tokyo
You'll land in Tokyo today and your driver will be waiting at the airport to pick you up. The private car transfer takes you directly to your hotel, so you can settle in without any hassle and start getting oriented to the city.

Mount Fuji Tour
This day focuses on the Mount Fuji area and its natural sites. Start at West Lake where you'll see the traditional thatched-roof village and Mount Fuji views, then move on to Oshino Hakkai to walk around the eight crystal-clear springs. Later you'll check out the Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave, which formed over 1150 years ago, and finish the day at Arakurayama Sengen Park where there's a five-storied pagoda and one of the better viewpoints of Mount Fuji.

- Day 3
Matsumoto Castle and Suwa
You'll see Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan's most complete original castles with its black wainscoting and distinctive secondary donjon. After that, head to Suwa to spend time around the largest lake in Nagano Prefecture (cherry blossoms here in spring if that's when you're traveling). Then visit Suwa Taisha, one of Japan's oldest and most important shrines, before wrapping up.

Shirakawa-go and Takayama
Today takes you to Shirakawa-go, a mountain village with steep mountains surrounding it and about 96% forest coverage. It's near Hakusan National Park and has preserved natural landscapes. You'll also check out Takayama Jinya, the former local government office from the Edo Period that operated until 1969 and functions as a museum now.

Kanazawa
Kanazawa was a major cultural center during the Edo Period, rivaling places like Kyoto and Edo as the seat of the powerful Maeda Clan. You'll walk through Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen gardens, then explore the Higashi Chaya District and the Nagamachi Samurai area to see traditional buildings that coexist with the modern city.
