Itinerary
- Day 1
Mestre
After arriving in Mestre, you'll check into your hotel and then meet up with your guide for an orientation briefing about what's ahead. You'll get a 48-hour Venice transport card that covers all the city's land and water transport. If you want, your guide can walk you into Venice for an evening stroll to get a feel for the place, or you can just take it easy and explore on your own time.

- Day 2
Venice
Start with a scenic ride along the Grand Canal to see Venice's most famous spots. You'll spend time at St. Mark's Square and check out St. Mark's Basilica with its detailed mosaics and medieval architecture. Then walk through narrow alleyways to find hidden courtyards and art. Head to the Rialto Bridge for great views of the city and wander around from there. A gondola ride is available if you want the full Venetian canal experience.

Murano - Burano - Ljubljana
Check out and head to the Venetian Lagoon islands. In Murano, watch glassmakers use centuries-old techniques at a local factory. Then go to Burano with its colorful houses and walk through Galuppi Square to see traditional lacework. Later you'll travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia and check into your hotel. The evening is yours to relax and settle in.

- Day 4
Lake Bled - Ljubljana
Walk along Ljubljana's riverfront and see the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the baroque Town Hall, and medieval Town Square with Robba's Fountain. Check out the central market and cross the Triple Bridge. After that, head to Lake Bled and ride a traditional pletna boat to the island Church of Saint Mary. You'll have free time to visit Bled Castle on the cliff for lake views or try the local Bled cream cake. Get back to Ljubljana by evening.

Postojna Cave - Goriska Hills - Portoroz
Head to Postojna Cave about an hour from Ljubljana and take an electric train through the underground landscape with stalactites, stalagmites, and subterranean waterfalls. Then travel to the Goriska Hills to see rolling vineyards and countryside. Visit the medieval village of Smartno, then tour a winery to sample local white wines. Finish the day in Portoroz, a coastal Istrian town, and check in.

Porec
Visit Groznjan, a hilltop village with galleries and workshops, and enjoy the local atmosphere. You'll participate in a truffle-hunting demonstration in a nearby forest with a guide and trained dog, then taste truffle-infused cheese and sausages with Istrian wine. Later walk through the medieval streets of Motovun for countryside views. Check into your Porec hotel by evening.

Return to Porec in the evening.

Opatija - Plitvice Lakes
Check out and travel to Opatija for a coffee break along the Lungomare promenade with sea views. Continue through countryside with charming villages and hills. Then explore Plitvice Lakes National Park with its 16 interconnected cascading lakes, a UNESCO site. Take a 3-hour guided tour of the upper and lower lakes, then relax at nearby restaurants. Check in and unwind.

Trogir - Split
Head to Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage site on a small island, and see Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. Visit the Cathedral of Saint Lawrence and other landmarks. Continue to Split and walk through Diocletian's Palace with narrow streets, markets, and hidden courtyards. Check out the Temple of Jupiter and Cathedral of Saint Domnius, then stroll the lively Riva promenade.

- Day 10
Hvar - Split
Take a high-speed catamaran to Hvar, known as the queen of Croatian islands. Walk through traffic-free cobbled streets and see the harbour, Renaissance Cathedral, and several monasteries and churches. You'll have plenty of free time to explore, or you can join optional activities like a boat trip to the Pakleni Islands, relax on beaches, hike to Milna Bay, or have lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Split in the late afternoon.
