- Day 1
Krimml
You'll arrive in Krimml, an alpine village sitting at over 1,000m elevation in Oberpinzgau. Get yourself settled and spend the day acclimating to the mountain air, which will help prepare you for the hiking week ahead.

Krimml Waterfalls
This morning you head to Krimml Waterfalls, where three impressive cascades drop down the mountainside. You'll feel the mist from the water as it roars down, then continue climbing through alpine vegetation and high pastures to Krimmler Tauernhaus. After that, a National Park Taxi brings you back to the valley.

- Day 3
Falkenstein
Start on a panoramic trail through high alpine pastures where cows and horses graze, heading toward Gerlosplatte. From there you descend through forest, pass by Falkenstein lookout point, and then walk the Sonnenweg trail through traditional landscape with flower-decorated farmhouses. The route continues via Trattenbach gorge to Rechtegg, where views of Großvenediger glacier come into sight.

Blausee
The National Park Taxi takes you to nearly 2,000m at the valley head, and from there you explore the National Park core zone on a nature trail. You'll see glacial polish on mountain streams and towering rock faces, and you might spot alpine wildlife like cows, sheep, and marmots. Stop at Berndlalm for a traditional Pinzgau Brettljause snack, check out Gamseck waterfall, then descend via Kampriesensteig trail to Blausee lake.

Wildkogel
Today you ride the cable car up to Wildkogel and spend the day on an extensive panoramic trail at 2,000m elevation. The route goes ridge to ridge through green mountains under the reddish Rettenstein peaks along the Tyrol border, with views stretching toward Wilder Kaiser and Kitzbueheler Horn. You'll stop at a mountain hut and see the National Park Panorama before taking the gondola back down.

Kaprun
Follow an educational trail through the national park alongside a mountain stream where bright blue water contrasts with yellow rocks. You'll rest at the rustic Senninger Alm in the middle of the mountains, then hike leisurely down through meadows and pastures along the alpine road. Later, a bus takes you to Kaprun where you can relax in warm salt water at the Tauern Spa.

- Day 7
Kitzsteinhorn
Your final hiking day takes you to Kitzsteinhorn, a summer ski area with a glacier trail and ice arena. You can either ride the gondola to 3,000m or hike up yourself via the Enzinger trail from Maiskogel along the ridge over Drei-Wallner-Höhe. The panoramic views make the glacier region feel within reach, and then you descend via glacier jet.
