Arrival
Your private driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel for check-in. After you settle in, the rest of the day is yours to recover from your flight and get oriented.

Ponta Delgada
A local guide leads a 4-hour walking tour through Ponta Delgada's cobblestone streets. You'll walk through the local market, check out a Natural History Museum housed in a former monastery, see the Church of Mother of God which overlooks the sea and city, then finish at the Antonio Borges Botanic Garden.

São Miguel Island
After breakfast, your driver-guide picks you up to tour São Miguel Island. The day includes Caldeira das Sete Cidades, an ancient volcanic crater with dramatic scenery. You'll stop at Miradouro da Vista do Rei for views and a short kayaking tour, then head to Miradouro da Boca do Inferno, one of the island's best viewpoints where you can spend as much time as you want. Your driver brings you back to the hotel by evening.

Furnas Hotsprings
Your guide and driver pick you up for a full-day tour of Furnas. You'll see fumaroles and thermal pools heated to 39°C/102°F, view 18th-century architecture with British influences, and learn how traditional Furnas stew cooks underground using volcanic steam for about 6 hours. The tour also includes a lake, gardens, hot springs, 22 different types of mineral water, a botanical park with a thermal pool, and Ribeira Quente beach near a fishing village, which you reach through a scenic valley with waterfalls and streams. Private transportation takes you to and from your hotel.

Pico Island
After breakfast, your driver and guide take you on a tour of Pico Island. You'll explore the central plateau and one of the island's most beautiful caves, then search for the reflection of Pico Mountain in the second largest lake. You'll see views from the third highest volcano, visit Lajes village and its whaling museum to learn about the island's whaling past, and cool off with a swim in a natural pool. Later, you'll tour local vineyards and taste wines and cheeses.

Faial Island
After breakfast at the hotel, you take a day trip to Faial Island by ferry. You'll explore the island's geological history and the Azores region, walking through natural landscapes with hydrangeas and pastures, then stroll through Horta Marina to learn about local adventurers and exploration. By evening, you return to Pico Island by ferry.

Angra do Heroísmo City Tour
A personal guide meets you in the morning for a city tour of Angra do Heroísmo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll wander the Renaissance-influenced streets of this historic 15th and 16th century port city, explore monuments and art treasures, and see a historic fortress. After lunch (on your own), you visit Monte Brasil, Serra do Cume, Algar do Carvão, and natural swimming pools. Dinner features authentic Terceira cuisine including Alcatra de Carne, a pot roast cooked in large clay pots.
