- Day 1
Overnight Flight to Colombo
Your overnight flight to Colombo gets you started. You'll have time to rest and prepare yourself for what's coming in Sri Lanka.
- Day 2
Colombo to Sigiriya
After the airport welcome and meeting your local guide, you'll head north toward Sigiriya. Along the way, stop at Dambulla cave temples to see the Buddha statues and colorful murals there. By evening you're settled at your Sigiriya hotel, where you can use the pool and relax for the rest of the day.

Sigiriya
This morning focuses on Polonnaruwa's ancient royal city with its temples and structures. Later in the afternoon, you'll go out on a jeep safari through the national park looking for elephants, deer, monkeys, and if you're lucky, leopards near the waterholes.

- Day 4
Sigiriya to Kandy
You'll start early to climb Sigiriya rock, taking the 1,860 steps up to see the 'Cloud Maidens' cave drawings and get panoramic views from the 200-meter-high rock. After that, you head to Kandy and visit Sri Dalada Maligawa temple in the evening for a ceremony where you might see Buddha's sacred tooth relic.

Kandy
After breakfast, spend the morning wandering around Kandy at your own pace. You'll walk past Lake Kandy, stroll through the city center, and explore a local market filled with exotic spices. The afternoon is yours to do as you like, whether that's shopping or taking optional excursions.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
You'll take a scenic train ride to Nuwara Eliya, about 3 hours through green landscape where you can chat with local travelers. Stop at a tea factory to see how tea leaves get processed. The rest of the day, you're free to check out Nuwara Eliya on your own.

Nuwara Eliya to Udawalawe
Today you visit an elephant orphanage that helps and releases elephant cubs. Later, head out on a jeep safari through the national park before settling into your hotel in Udawalawe for the night.

Udawalawe to Wadduwa
Travel to Galle, the colonial coastal city, and walk along the ramparts of the historic fort. From there, continue to Wadduwa where you check into your beachfront hotel. Dinner features ocean views and fresh food overlooking the water.

Wadduwa to Colombo to Malé
Head back to Colombo for a city tour covering both the historic old areas and the modern developing sections. In the evening, you fly to Malé in the Maldives and settle into your accommodation once you arrive.

Malé to Resort Island
Resort staff pick you up in the morning and transfer you by plane and speedboat to your island resort. You'll arrive and check in to your accommodation surrounded by tropical beauty.

Over the next few days, you can relax on your own schedule. Swim in turquoise water, snorkel at coral reefs, read in a hammock under palm trees, or try optional sports and activities the resort offers.
