Was a bit of a rough trip. Has to ask what hotel I was going to be staying at in Dubai. Got to Dubai and at the airport saw my name on a sign and told my name and showed my info to the guy who checked and told me to take a taxi to my hotel. I told him I paid to be picked up at the airport and he insisted I take a taxi even though I paid. I asked him why would my name be at the airport then if your telling me to take a taxi. Apparently this guy was a scammer pretending to be with Traveljaz. I finally found the person to take me to my hotel and was taken over there and was greeted by the tour coordinator. I didn't receive a tour itinerary and had to message the tour coordinator when I was going to be picked up. He finally sent me an itinerary which skipped over the day of the optional Abu Dhabi which I asked about. He didn't know and had to check and I sent a copy of the tour radar listing for the trip mentioning the optional Abu Dhabi trip and I wanted to do that. I done optional parts of the trips with close to a dozen other tour companies and never had so much of an issue getting to Abu Dhabi. Finally they confirmed it but the day of the trip I was in the lobby waiting and no one contacted me on Whatsapp or said my name/ I contacted the tour coordinator and apparently the guy was there and left without trying to contact me. They company did work hard to get me there and I finally caught the bus and got there and back alright. The itinerary had me being picked up for the dinner cruise from 7:00 - 7:30 p.,m. and was messaged on Whatsapp 10 minutes before 7:00 p.m. that he needed to go and pick up other people and I told him that I was the pick up wasn't until 7:00 - 7:30 p..m. and was going to leave me if I didn't come now. So had to rush down to get in the van for the dinner cruise which wasn't that great. Now the Dubai city trip day was bad. Got picked up ok and on time which was good but the first stop the tour guide seemed to have an attitude with me and asked if I had a problem. I didn't even say anything other then my name when I got picked up for the tour so I don't know what the issue was and even at the end of the day him and the driver got into an argument because the tour guide wanted to just go. The advertised view of Burj Al Arab was terrible and was far away and I got closer just going on my own. We missed some places that was supposed to be on the trip because others didn't show back on time I was on time. I did get grabbed by a shop owner in the spice market who thought it was ok to put his hands on me cause he wanted to get my attention. Had to yell at the merchant and get in his face about that and how he doesn't have a right to put his hands on people. Also I was told by a support person for Traveljaz that I would get a lunch but I didn't and just was given 30 minutes to get my own lunch. The day of the desert safari was good overall. The only downside was it specifically advertised sandboarding on tourrradar and there was none there. The hotel they put me at was TRYP by Wyndham Dubai. The hotel was good but it took three days of calling to get them to fix my tv that didn't work and it looked like they just gave me another room's tv as it had another person's name on the screen and different room number. Also had issues with no hot water in the shower some days and was told to run the tap also to fix it. I got picked up on time for my return trip to the airport which was good. The trip was with different groups of people ever day it wasn't the same people for the whole trip which means they were on some other trip as most of the tour companies have almost identical tours so there is some cross over. Overall the trip was rough but some people at the company tried their best to make things up to me. Visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi was the best part along side the desert safari.
