Hopfgarten im Brixental to Kelchsau
Start hiking through forests and meadows, passing by the Penningberg farms as you go. You'll head up to Haag Alm where there's self-service refreshments, then continue to Höhenbrandalm. From there, forest paths take you down to Kelchsau, a village known for its traditional wooden houses and farmsteads.

- Day 3
Alpine Pasture Hike to Lodron
This is a moderate to challenging alpine pasture hike with about 1,200 meters of elevation gain. You'll pass numerous mountain pastures and stop at Untere Lärchenbergalm, home of 'Almliterat' Sepp Kahn. The trail leads to Lodron, one of the best viewpoint mountains in the Kitzbühel Alps offering 360 degree views from the Hohe Tauern to the Wilder Kaiser.

Aschau to Kirchberg or Aschau
Today's route takes you through quiet alpine scenery past historic alpine buildings and high moor near Hintenkarscharte. You'll see alpine roses growing above Scheibenschlag Hochalm and get fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and the Hohe Tauern. A waterfall appears near where this day's hike finishes. If you're staying in Kirchberg, take the bus from Aschau to get to the trailhead.

Aschau to Kitzbühel
If you stayed in Kirchberg, you'll take the bus back to Aschau first. Then hike along the famous Hahnenkamm race course with information boards explaining the trail. You'll experience well-known sections like the Hausbergkante and Mausefalle before reaching Kitzbühel town center, the most legendary sports town in the Kitzbühel Alps.

Kitzbühel to St. Johann in Tirol
This is a demanding hike over the Kitzbüheler Horn down to St. Johann in Tirol, though several cable cars are available if you want to shorten it. The trail gives you views in every direction, passes through a well-kept alpine flower garden, and has multiple refreshment stops. You'll get a spectacular descent from the Horn to Harschbichl to finish.

Hike to Secluded Plateau
You'll hike to a secluded plateau with karst formations and dry alpine pastures. The route goes through mountain pine areas and mixed forests with views all around. This moderately difficult day uses paths, meadow trails, and tracks. If you want, there's an optional stop at the rustic Winterstelleralm during the final part of the hike.

Ortisei to Hopfgarten im Brixental
