- Day 1
Keflavik to Borgarnes
You'll pick up your rental car at Keflavik International Airport and head into Iceland's geothermal landscape. First stop is Deildartunguhver, home to Europe's most powerful hot spring, then you'll check out the historical site at Reykholt. After that, you'll see the waterfalls of Hraunfossar and Barnafoss before settling in for the night near Borgarnes.

- Day 2
Snaefellsnes Peninsula
After breakfast, you're heading to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Kirkjufell mountain and its adjacent waterfall come first, then the black church at Budakirkja surrounded by lava fields. Later, you'll walk around the coastal cliffs and stone arches near Arnarstapi and Hellnar, and if you're lucky, spot seals at Ytri Tunga beach. Back to Borgarnes for the night.

- Day 3
Troll Peninsula and Akureyri
You'll drive to the Troll Peninsula to see Hvitserkur, a dramatic 15-meter basalt island. The region's mountains, valleys, and lakes are yours to explore. Then you can choose between whale-watching in Eyjafjordur bay or relaxing at the Beer Spa. You'll end the day in Akureyri.

- Day 4
Akureyri, Godafoss, Lake Myvatn, and Egilsstadir
Start with a city tour of Akureyri, visiting the Christmas House, Akureyrarkirkja church, and the Botanical Gardens if you're traveling in summer. You'll drive to Godafoss waterfall next, then check out the geothermal area at Hverir with its boiling mud pools and Lake Myvatn. In summer, there's a detour to Dettifoss waterfall and Stuðlagil Canyon. By evening, you'll be in Egilsstadir.

- Day 5
East Fjords and Hofn
You'll drive along Iceland's east fjords, keeping an eye out for wild reindeer. During summer, stop at the puffin habitat in Borgarfjarðarhöfn and check out the giant bird egg sculptures at Eggin í Gleðivík. You'll visit the Christmas tree garden and old Viking village near Vestrahorn at Stokksnes, with an optional stop at Petra's Stone Collection museum. The day ends in Hofn, known as the Lobster Capital of Iceland.

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach
You're heading to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, a 200-meter-deep ice-filled lake fed by Breidamerkurjokull glacier. Enormous icebergs float here year-round, and you can take a boat ride between them in summer or walk alongside the lagoon. Next is Diamond Beach, where icebergs wash ashore on black sand. You'll choose between an Amphibian or Zodiac boat tour, then stay near Hof or Kirkjubækluster.

South Coast Waterfalls and Hella/Hvolsvollur
You'll head west along Iceland's south coast to Reynisfjara black sand beach, where Atlantic waves meet basalt columns and puffins nest in summer. Then you're off to Skógafoss waterfall, which drops 60 meters into a gorge, and Seljalandsfoss, where you can actually hike behind the falls. Choose a glacier hike at Sólheimajökull, the DC3 plane wreck tour, or the LAVA Centre exhibition. You'll end near Hella or Hvolsvollur.

- Day 8
Golden Circle
After breakfast, you're exploring the famous Golden Circle route. Thingvellir National Park shows you where tectonic plates are moving apart and where Iceland's parliament started in 930 AD. You'll find the hidden Brúarfoss waterfall with striking turquoise water, then head to Geysir's colorful hot springs where Strokkur erupts every 5 minutes. Gullfoss waterfall and Kerid Volcano Crater (500 ISK entry) come next. Pick snowmobile, dog-sledding, or snorkeling in Silfra, then stay in Hella or nearby.

Reykjavik
You'll explore Reykjavik on your own. The Perlan glass dome offers 360-degree views from the top, and you can see the historic Höfði building where Reagan and Gorbachev met in 1986. Hallgrímskirkja church has a distinctive design inspired by volcanic basalt columns. Walk through the city center with the Parliament building and Austurvoellur square. Optional activities include the Wonders of Iceland exhibition, Aurora Reykjavik museum, or whale watching in Faxaflói Bay. Stay in Reykjavik.

You have a free day to explore Reykjavik however you'd like, shop, or do activities of your choice before heading to your flight. The Blue Lagoon is optional if you want to visit, featuring an in-water mask booth, sauna, steam room, and in-water bar with a complimentary beverage when booked through the tour operator.
