Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town to Cederberg
Your African adventure starts in Cape Town with a township tour where you'll connect with locals and see community projects firsthand. After that, you'll board the overland truck and head north through the Western Cape's fruit-growing region. By evening, you're camping beside the Olifants River in Cederberg, and there's a chance to try some local wines before settling in for the night.

- Day 2
Cederberg to Orange River (Namibia)
The truck continues north through drier, rockier terrain until you cross into Namibia at the Vioolsdrift border. Tonight's camp sits beside the Gariep (Orange) River, which forms the border between South Africa and Namibia. The river's safe for swimming if you want to cool off, and the isolated location offers really dark skies for stargazing.

Orange River to Fish River Canyon
An optional canoe safari runs this morning on the river if you didn't do it yesterday. Later, the group drives north to Fish River Canyon, which is the world's second-largest canyon. At more than 500 metres deep and stretching 160km, you'll stop at several viewpoints, including 'Hell's Corner,' known for its sharp bend.

Fish River Canyon to Sesriem Area
This is a long driving day as you head north toward Namib-Naukluft National Park. The park protects large sections of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft mountains. You'll camp on the park's edge tonight, which puts you in position to explore the desert landscape tomorrow.

- Day 5
Sesriem Area to Solitaire (Namib-Naukluft National Park)
Today you're exploring the Namib Desert. The morning takes you to Dune 45, one of the region's tallest sand dunes, and climbing to the top gives you incredible views across the landscape. From there, you head to Deadvlei, a barren salt pan ringed by rolling dunes and petrified trees. Before heading to Solitaire, a tiny desert settlement, you'll stop at Sesriem Canyon.

Solitaire to Swakopmund
You drive to Swakopmund, a German colonial town on Namibia's Skeleton Coast, and switch from camping to simple dormitory accommodation. Days 6 and 7 are completely free, so you can walk around town, check out the relaxed cafe culture and colonial architecture, or pick optional activities like quad-biking, sand boarding, skydiving, or dolphin-watching cruises.

Landmarks Swakopmund Skeleton Coast 
- Day 8
Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe
Leaving the coast behind, the group heads inland to the Damaraland region and Spitzkoppe mountain peak. You'll see well-preserved bushmen paintings and rock formations reaching 1800 metres high. As the sun moves across the sky, the rocks shift color, which is particularly striking at sunrise and sunset. Camp at the mountain's base with a refreshing drink in hand to watch this natural light show.

Landmarks Spitzkoppe - Days 9 - 10
Spitzkoppe to Etosha National Park
Two days exploring Etosha National Park starts now. This 20,000 square kilometre reserve centers around a salt pan and year-round watering holes where wildlife congregates. Day 9 includes a short game drive before your first night at a camp with a floodlit watering hole where elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and lions often appear. Day 10 is a full game drive across the park with stops whenever animals show up. Your second night might be at the same camp or a different location depending on your tour leader's decision.

Etosha National Park to Windhoek
You arrive in Windhoek, Namibia's capital and a relatively small city with about 470,000 people. The city has lots of German colonial architecture from Namibia's colonial past. Your tour ends when you reach the city.
