Vila Nova de Milfontes to Almograve
Your hiking adventure starts with views over Vila Nova de Milfontes and the River Mira. This introductory hike covers about 15km with 150m elevation gain and 130m descent, taking roughly 5 hours and showing off the landscape nicely. By evening you'll reach Almograve.

Landmarks Almograve - Day 3
Almograve to Zambujeira do Mar
This hike takes you through small fishing villages, reddish sand dunes, and pine forests. Over 20 bird species nest in the rugged cliffs along the route. Later you'll arrive in Zambujeira do Mar, a coastal village where you can listen to the Atlantic waves from your accommodation.

Zambujeira do Mar to Odeceixe
Follow fishing trails along the unspoiled beaches of Carvalhal, Machados, and Amália. You'll pass a quiet fishing port on the way to Azenha do Mar. From Ponta em Branco, the views of Odeceixe beach and where the River Seixe meets the sea are really impressive.

Odeceixe to Aljezur
Hike along the Seixe river delta and see the region's plant life and aromatic shrubs. Then follow the old fishing trail through the Algarve, walking across wetlands and coastal heathlands. The route brings you to Aljezur by day's end.

Aljezur to Vila do Bispo
This morning includes a transfer to Carrapateira. From there you'll hike through scenery with the Barranco da Pena Furada gorge, notable rock formations, and great beaches like Praia do Amado. Walk along the coastal plateau and finish in Vila do Bispo for the night.

Vila do Bispo to Sagres
Start from Vila do Bispo and hike to Cabo de São Vicente, the most south-westerly point of mainland Europe. The cliffs here have a unique feel, and you'll see the famous lighthouse. After that you'll walk along the cliffs to Sagres, a quiet fishing village where you'll stay.
