Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Urumqi
Your private guide meets you at Urumqi airport and handles the transfer to your hotel by private car. They'll help with your luggage and get you checked in so you can settle in without hassle.
- Day 2
Urumqi to Turpan
Private transfer takes you from Urumqi to Turpan with stops along the way. You'll see the Emin Minaret, walk through the ancient Karez Well System to understand the historic water management, and check out the archaeological Ruins of Jiaohe City before arriving in Turpan for the night.

- Day 3
Turpan
Another day exploring Turpan's cultural sites on the Silk Road. You'll return to the Emin Minaret, go deeper into the Karez Well System, and spend more time at the Jiaohe City ruins. You'll stay another night in Turpan to really take in the area.

Turpan to Kashgar
Free time in the morning before heading to the airport for your flight to Kashgar. After you arrive and check into your hotel, your guide takes you through the Id Kah Mosque, the Fragrant Concubine's tomb, and the Sunday Bazaar with all its activity. From there you'll walk through the historic Old City streets before heading back.

Karakul Lake
Travel to Karakul Lake, one of the world's highest lakes sitting on the Pamir Plateau. The snow-capped Tian Shan Mountains surround the area, and you'll have time to take in the clear alpine waters and the quiet landscape around you.

Pamir Region

Pamir to Chengdu
Free time in the morning, then your guide takes you to the airport for your flight to Chengdu. After you land and transfer to your hotel, your guide helps with check-in and luggage so you can get settled in for your stay.

Chengdu
Start early at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to see the pandas up close. Next you'll visit Wenshu Temple for some quiet Buddhist atmosphere, then head to Jinli Old Street to see traditional architecture and try street food. Later, walk through Kuanzhai Alley to see Qing Dynasty buildings and shops.

Lhasa
Visit Potala Palace, the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's highest ancient palace, to see Tibetan Buddhist history spanning centuries. Then tour Jokhang Temple, which is Buddhism's holiest site in Tibet, and wander through Barkhor Street where pilgrims walk and vendors sell goods.

- Day 11
Lhasa
Head to Drepung Monastery, Tibet's largest monastery, with its winding corridors and detailed murals covering the walls. Later visit Sera Monastery where you can watch the Sera Debate, a spirited discussion among monks about Buddhist philosophy that shows off Tibetan Buddhist scholarship traditions.

Yamdrok Lake - Karo La Glacier - Pelkor Chode
Travel to Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's most sacred alpine lakes with turquoise water ringed by snow-capped mountains. After that you'll visit Karo La Glacier to see the ice fields and tall peaks. End your day at Pelkor Chode Monastery and Kumbum Stupa, a UNESCO site where you can climb to the stupa top for views across the landscape.

Tashi Lhunpo Monastery - Lhasa
Journey from Shigatse back to Lhasa with a stop at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, founded in 1447 as the Panchen Lama's seat. You'll see the grand Tibetan architecture, prayer flags, large courtyards, ornate temples, and tall stupas. Climb to the rooftop to see snow-capped peaks and rolling hills stretching out.
