Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Muscat
Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall at Muscat International Airport. After you clear immigration and pick up your luggage, you'll head to your hotel for the night to settle in and rest after your flight.


- Day 2
Muscat
You'll pick up your 4x4 rental at 8:30 a.m., have breakfast at the hotel, then head into Muscat to see the city's main sites. The day includes the Grand Mosque with its Swarovski chandelier and Persian carpet, the Opera House, Al Alam Palace, Mirani and Jalali forts, the Bait Al Zubair Museum with traditional costumes and antique jewelry, and the historic Muttrah Souq, one of Oman's oldest markets.

Nizwa
After breakfast you'll drive to Nizwa, Oman's former capital, to walk through the Nizwa Souq selling Omani daggers, copper, and silver jewelry. You'll see Jibrin Palace with its five floors, 55 rooms, and carved Islamic-style ceilings and doors. Then you'll stop for photos at the UNESCO-listed Bahla Fort and check out the ruins of Tanuf, an old city destroyed by British RAF bombing in 1954-1955.

- Day 4
Misfat Al Abreen - Jebel Shams
Following breakfast you'll explore Al Hamra, one of the country's best-preserved old towns with abandoned mud houses and the Bait Al Safah Museum about Omani traditions. Later you'll head to Misfat Al Abreen to see agricultural terraces, traditional mud houses, and the ancient falaj irrigation system. From there you'll check out the abandoned Persian ruins in Ghul before reaching Jebel Shams at 3,009 meters for views of the Grand Canyon area.

- Day 5
Jebel Akhdar
You'll have breakfast at the hotel, then visit Birkat Al Maouz with its banana plantation and the ancient falaj irrigation system (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). From there you'll explore Jebel Akhdar, a massive plateau covering over 1,800 square kilometers with peaks rising nearly 3,050 meters. You'll stop at Wadi Bani Habib village to learn about rose water distillation, with the rose season running from mid-March to mid-May.

Wadi Bani Khalid - Wahiba Sands
After breakfast at camp you'll visit Al Manzifat, a ruined village with narrow streets showing traditional Middle Ages architecture. Then you'll head to Wadi Bani Khalid to swim in cool, deep pools with clear water. At 3:00 p.m. you'll arrive at Wahiba Sands desert entrance, meet your camp representative, and transfer to the desert camp (your rental car will be parked there). The dunes stretch 200 km long and 100 km wide with a 7,000-year Bedouin history.

- Day 7
Jalan Bani Bu Ali - Ashkharah - Ras Al Hadd
After breakfast at camp you'll get an escort service back to the main road to pick up your rental car. You'll visit Jalan Bani Bu Ali to see the Hammouda Mosque with 52 distinctive domes and geometric design, plus its unique falaj waterway. Then you'll stop briefly at Jalan Bani Bu Hasan castle and continue to Ashkharah to watch different bird species on sandy beaches. The day ends at Ras Al Hadd Turtle Reserve, an important breeding site for endangered green sea turtles.

Wadi Tiwi - Fins Beach - Muscat
You'll have breakfast at the hotel, then head to Sur's dhow factory to watch traditional wooden boat construction. From there you'll visit the Ayjah lighthouse and continue to Wadi Tiwi, a deep and narrow wadi with old villages surrounded by date and banana plantations between high cliffs. You'll stop at Fins white beach for a break from the city, where sand and pebbles meet the water.

Bimmah Sinkhole - Wadi Al Arbeieen - Muscat
After an early breakfast you'll hike Wadi Shab, one of Oman's notable wadis. Depending on tides you might need a boat from the parking lot. Fresh mountain water meets salty sea water, creating unique ecological conditions. You'll pass through the famous keyhole into a secluded area, then visit the Bimmah Sinkhole filled with water. Later you'll do an off-road crossing of Wadi Al Arbeieen with its running water, bird sounds, and wind. You'll drop off your rental car at 6:00 p.m.
