Hanoi
Your guide meets you between 8:00-8:30 AM for a full day exploring Hanoi's landmarks. Start at Tran Quoc Pagoda from the 6th century, then head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex to see his mausoleum and old residences. You'll check out the One Pillar Pagoda and the Museum of Ethnology to learn about Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups, grab lunch at a local restaurant, and visit the Temple of Literature from the 11th century. Before wrapping up, hit the Hoa Lo Prison Museum from the French colonial and Vietnam War periods, and catch a water puppet show in the evening.

Hanoi
Head out from Hanoi at 8:00 AM for a two-hour drive through countryside to Duc village. After some refreshments, you'll board a boat for a 1.5-hour trip along the Yen River. A one-hour trek takes you to Thien Tru Pagoda and the Perfume Cave, then you'll see Giai Oan and Tuyet Son Pagodas on the way back. Lunch happens at a food stall near Thien Tru, then boat back to your vehicle for the return drive, arriving around 6:00 PM.

Hanoi to Sapa
Meet your guide at 7:00-7:30 AM for a 110km bus ride through green countryside with a short break included. You'll reach Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel to tour the Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple from the 17th century. Lunch comes at a local restaurant, then it's on to the Trang An Grottoes limestone landscape. A traditional sampan boat takes you through several caves including Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, and Thanh Truot Cave, and you'll pass temples like Cao Son and Suoi Tien. Climb Mua Cave on Ngoa Long mountain for views over the rice valley. From there, head to Hanoi train station to board the night train to Sapa.

- Day 5
Sapa
The train arrives at Lao Cai station around 6:00 AM, and a vehicle transfers you up the mountains to Sapa in about an hour. After checking in and freshening up with breakfast, you'll start a walking tour at 10:00 AM to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat and Sin Chai where Hmong people live. Walking through valleys below Sapa, you'll meet local minority families and learn about their way of life. You'll return to Sapa in the afternoon, have dinner, and have free time to relax.

Sapa
After breakfast, take a bus ride along the valley to Rose Garden and trek into villages and rice fields toward Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. Ta Van is home to the Dzay ethnic minority in colorful dress, and you'll see Hmong people doing traditional weaving and dying work. This area is considered one of the most beautiful spots in the region. Later in the afternoon, walk to Ham Rong Mountain for views over Muong Hoa valley and Fansipan Mountain.

Halong Bay
Have breakfast at your hotel, then transfer to Halong Bay about 2.5 hours away. Once there, board a cruise to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site with over 3,000 limestone islands. The 1,500 square kilometer area is full of beaches and caves shaped over thousands of years. You'll swim from the boat and explore caves, enjoy a seafood lunch on board, and cruise until sunset, taking in the misty atmosphere.

- Day 9
Halong Bay to Danang
Spend your day exploring more of Halong Bay, visiting additional caves, islands, and swimming on different beaches. Later, transfer back to Hanoi and catch a flight to Danang. After you arrive, your hotel transfer is arranged and you'll have free time for the rest of the day.

Danang to Hue
Your guide picks you up at 8:00-8:30 AM. Along the way, stop at Hai Van Pass for views of Danang city and the long white Lang Co beach. See Khai Dinh Tomb, an impressive blend of Western and Eastern styles built 1920-1931 for the 12th Nguyen emperor. Lunch at a local restaurant serving authentic Hue dishes, then explore the Citadel UNESCO Heritage Site and Thien Mu Pagoda, Vietnam's tallest pagoda. A dragon boat ride takes you back through the city on the Perfume River, and you'll return to Danang via the Hai Van Tunnel by around 6:30 PM.

Danang to Hoi An
Your 8:00 AM pickup takes you to Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain) to see the third Linh Ung Pagoda with its tall Buddha statue in a cooler climate. At 3:30 PM, transfer to Five Marble Mountain, a cluster of five limestone peaks. Continue on to Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site, for a walking tour through the old sections with charming well-preserved architecture mixing Chinese, Japanese, and European styles. Dinner is in Hoi An.

- Day 13
Nha Phu Bay
Hotel pickup happens between 8:00-8:30 AM, then transfer to the pier to board a speedboat to Nha Phu Bay. Around 9:00 AM, exploration starts at Hoa Lan (Orchid) Island where you'll see panoramic views, Nghinh Xuan Lake, and flower fields. The Orchid Garden has rare species blooming year-round, and you can interact with friendly sika deer and ostriches. Next is the Butterfly Garden with various species and circus shows featuring elephants, bears, pythons, and birds. Lunch comes at 11:30 AM on the island. Then visit Monkey Island, a natural sanctuary for over 1,200 monkeys with shows including circus performances, dog and goat racing, and monkey swimming. Play at the 2,000 square meter floating park. Around 4:00 PM, return to the mainland for your transfer back.

From 9:00-11:30 AM visit Mun Island, Vietnam's first marine conservation area with 350 coral and marine species. Explore colorful reefs and fish by diving or glass-bottom boat. Lunch on the boat 11:30 AM-12:30 PM includes fried shrimp, fried fish, spring rolls, and other local dishes. Visit Mot Island 12:30-2:00 PM to relax and enjoy 'Dance Of Sea' music plus optional cocktails. Stop at Tranh Beach 2:00-3:45 PM to rest or try water sports like banana float or parachute (extra cost). Ho Chi Minh City
Start at 8:00 AM visiting Independence Palace (also called Reunification Palace), built on the site of the former Norodom palace. See beautiful French Colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office. Head to the War Remnants Museum with extensive displays from both Indochina wars. Lunch happens at noon at a local restaurant. Continue to Cu Chi Tunnel to watch a documentary, see self-made weapons and bamboo traps, and learn how guerrillas lived and fought during the Vietnam War. You can crawl through tunnels if you'd like. Learn how locals make rice paper and rice wine. Optional AK-47 firing available for 600,000 VND for bullets, and steamed cassava is available. Depart at 6:00 PM to return to Ho Chi Minh City center.

Experience traditional Don Ca Tai Tu Xu Dua music, then use rowing boats through small canals to see coconut trees. Walk to coconut candy shops to learn candy-making.
