Hanoi
You'll arrive at Hanoi airport and get transferred to your hotel in the Old Quarter. Once you check in, the rest of the morning and early afternoon is yours to settle in or wander the busy streets if you're not too tired. Later in the afternoon, join a Hanoi Jeep City Tour that hits several key spots: the Opera House, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Westlake, and Long Bien Bridge. It's a solid introduction to the city's mix of colonial architecture and local history.

- Day 2
Hanoi to Halong Bay
Your hotel picks you up between 7:30 and 8:30 AM for a 3.5-hour drive to Halong Bay with a refreshment stop along the way. You'll board your cruise around noon at Tuan Chau Harbor. After a seafood lunch while cruising past those limestone karsts, you'll kayak out to a local pearl farm, then head to Titop Island where you can swim or hike up for views. Back on the cruise, there's an optional cooking class to make Vietnamese spring rolls, followed by a BBQ seafood dinner. Evening options include playing chess or cards, singing karaoke, or trying night squid fishing if you're up for it.

- Day 3
Halong Bay to Hanoi
Start your morning early on the sundeck with tea or coffee as the sun comes up over the bay. If you want, join an optional Tai Chi session to ease into the day. After breakfast, you'll disembark to explore Sung Sot Cave, which is the largest cavern here with really impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Then it's back to the cruise for a relaxed lunch while heading toward Ha Long City pier. There's a small rest stop in Hai Duong province before you arrive back in Hanoi around 4:00 to 4:30 PM.

- Day 4
Hanoi to Hue
Your morning in Hanoi Old Quarter is free to do what you want: check out the water puppet show, wander the streets, or just relax at a café. Later you'll head to the train station for your overnight journey to Hue. The 13-hour train ride takes you through the Vietnamese countryside and along the coastal line, so there's actually quite a bit to see from your window. You'll arrive in Da Nang the next morning.

- Day 5
Da Nang to Hue
The train pulls in to Da Nang in the morning and you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in Hue City. After checking in, take it easy and recover from the overnight journey. Spend the day relaxing, exploring the immediate area on foot, or just enjoying what your hotel has to offer. There's no structured activity, so this is really about settling in at your own pace.

- Day 6
Hue
Your full day exploring Hue's ancient capital starts at 8:00 AM with hotel pickup. First, you'll take a dragon boat cruise along the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the city. Then comes the Hue Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty once lived, and you'll walk through royal quarters, temples, and gardens. Dong Ba Market gives you a feel for local life and shopping. Lunch includes a traditional meal and herbal foot soak at My Home Restaurant. After lunch, you'll see the Minh Mang Royal Tomb and the ornate Khai Dinh Tomb with its blend of Vietnamese and French design. Last stop is Thuy Xuan Conical Hat Village to meet artisans making those famous hats. You'll be back at your Da Nang hotel by 4:30 PM.

- Day 7
Da Nang
Afternoon pickup happens at 1:30 or 2:00 PM and you'll head to Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula where you'll see the impressive Lady Buddha statue and get panoramic views of Da Nang and the coastline. Next is Non Nuoc Village at the base of Marble Mountains, a centuries-old spot famous for stone carving and marble sculptures. You can explore the sacred temples and caves tucked into the peaks. At 5:00 PM you'll drive to Hoi An Ancient Town where the lantern-lit streets really come alive at dusk. Walk past ancient houses, assembly halls, and the Japanese Covered Bridge. The colorful lanterns glow as evening sets in and you can browse the night market. Dinner features Hoi An's local specialties at 7:00 PM. You'll depart at 8:00 to 8:30 PM and arrive back in Da Nang by 9:00 to 9:30 PM.

- Day 8
Da Nang to Hoi An
Afternoon pickup at 1:00 PM takes you on a 1 hour 15 minute drive to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll arrive around 2:45 PM and transfer by electric car to the main site. A guided walking tour lasts about 2 hours and covers historic structures from the 4th to 14th century that represent the Champa civilization's golden era. You'll learn about the site's historical and cultural importance, and catch a traditional Champa performance with Apsara dancing. At 5:00 PM you head to a local family's home to learn how to make traditional rice paper. Dinner at 5:30 PM is a home-cooked meal with local dishes. You'll head back toward Hoi An Ancient Town departing at 6:45 PM.

- Day 9
Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
Have breakfast at your hotel and then you've got free time until your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Use it however you want: more sightseeing, shopping, or just relaxing. Once you land and check in, you're staying in the heart of the city's main tourist area. The rest of the day is at your leisure, whether that means sitting at a café or walking around to get a feel for Vietnam's southern capital and its busy urban energy.

- Day 10
Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
Hotel pickup at 8:00 AM and then a 2-hour drive gets you to the Mekong Delta port. You'll begin a relaxed boat cruise visiting four islets named after mythical animals: Dragon, Kirin, Tortoise, and Phoenix. Stop at a local bee farm for refreshing honey tea with lemon and taste tropical fruits. A handmade coconut candy workshop shows you production and lets you sample the fresh treats. You'll hear a live performance of Đìn Ca Tài Tử, which is UNESCO-recognized traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music. Then comes a bamboo rowboat ride through a mangrove palm canal and a horse-drawn carriage ride through a quiet village. Vinh Trang Pagoda is next, the largest Buddhist temple in Southern Vietnam with unique Asian-Western architecture mixing styles. You'll return to Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the late afternoon.

An introductory documentary provides historical context before you explore the carefully constructed tunnels. You'll see kitchens, bedrooms, storage areas, weapons workshops, field hospitals, and command centers. There's a recreated underground town showing how guerrilla fighters actually lived. Learn about the handmade traps, secret trapdoors, and defense systems they rigged. After the tunnels, stop at a local rice paper workshop to see traditional production.
