Porto
Start your trip in Porto, Portugal's second largest city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day focuses on Porto's architecture, the riverfront along the Douro, and the chance to learn about Port wine. You'll have time to walk through the old town, see the historic bridges, and get a feel for the city before the cycling portion begins.

Porto to Moreira de Maia to Arcos
Today marks the beginning of your cycling journey. After transferring from Porto to Moreira de Maia, you'll start pedaling through urban streets that gradually shift into rural countryside. The Zameiro Bridge stands out as a notable point along the route, and you'll be moving toward Arcos as the landscape opens up around you.

Arcos to Barcelos
You're cycling through increasingly rural terrain now, with gentle bumps and low difficulty. The route takes you across valleys, dirt roads, cornfields, and vineyards. By the end of the day, you'll reach Barcelos, crossing over a medieval bridge as you enter the town.

Barcelos to Portela de Tamel
Today you enter wine country with small villages scattered throughout. Most of the route follows asphalt roads, but the main challenge comes when you climb to Portela de Tamel at 130 meters elevation. That's the toughest section you'll face today, though the difficulty remains moderate overall.

Portela de Tamel to Ponte de Lima
As Galicia comes closer, green hills fill the landscape around you. The terrain stays low difficulty with just a short climb near Vitorino dos Piaes. After that, you'll descend toward the Lima River and cycle into Ponte de Lima. Once you arrive, spend time in the old town exploring the charming medieval streets.

Ponte de Lima to Rubiaes
This is the most difficult day of the entire cycling tour. You'll face a significant climb to Alto da Portela Grande de Labruja at 315 meters elevation. Once you crest that challenge, you get a nice reward with a pleasant descent to Rubiaes, traveling along an ancient Roman road that adds historical interest to the ride.

Rubiaes to Tui
Today you cross from Portugal into Galicia, Spain. The cycling involves moderate slopes and moderate difficulty as you make your way toward the border. You'll cross the international bridge over the Miño River to reach Tui, and after arriving, don't miss the Cathedral in town.

Tui to Ribadelouro to O Porriño
One of the toughest but most beautiful days awaits. After crossing the Miño River, you'll climb through Ribadelouro over paved and urban sections. If you want something different, there's an alternative route through the Natural Park of As Gándaras leading to O Porriño for a more nature-focused ride.

O Porriño to Mos to Redondela
Difficult climbs continue today, but the views from higher elevations make it worth the effort. You'll reach the charming town of Mos and tackle the climb to Alto de Inxertado. After getting over that ascent, a gentle descent carries you toward Redondela.

Redondela to Setefontes to Arcade to Pontevedra
You'll cycle toward Setefontes and Arcade, where oysters are famous. The route follows the mouth of Vigo as you pass through lush forests. Crossing the historic Puente de Sampaio bridge takes you toward Pontevedra, where you'll finish the day.

Pontevedra to Caldas de Rei
Today offers a quieter, more relaxed cycling experience with mostly flat and level terrain. You'll pass through several small villages before reaching Caldas de Rei. If you're interested, the town has famous spas where you can rest and recover after several challenging days.

Landmarks/POIs Caldas de Rei  - Day 12
Caldas de Rei to Padrón
This stage shows off some of the tour's most beautiful scenery with constantly changing landscapes. You'll cycle through vineyards, cereal fields, the Bermanya Valley, chestnut forests, and eucalyptus groves that showcase rural Galicia. The day ends in Padrón, and you'll have the chance to taste the region's famous Padrón peppers.

Landmarks/POIs Padrón Bermaña Valley  - Day 13
Padrón to Santiago de Compostela
The final cycling stage of your journey follows the Camino route. You'll cross the N-550 road multiple times while the railroad line guides your direction. Cycling toward Iria Flavia, you'll then climb to O Milladoiro. As you approach Santiago de Compostela, the Cathedral towers come into view, marking the end of your ride.
