Arrival in Hanoi
Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel in Hanoi. The rest of the day is open for you to settle in and get a feel for the city on your own terms.

Hanoi City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out at 8:00 am for a guided tour of Hanoi. The morning covers Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, and his former home, then moves to the Temple of Literature before catching a traditional music performance. You'll have lunch with authentic Hanoi Pho, and the afternoon gives you options to visit museums or temples if you want. Later you can walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and wander through the Old Quarter for shopping and street food. The day finishes with a Water Puppet Show performance.

- Day 3
Hanoi to Halong Bay
You'll eat breakfast and then board a mini-van around 9:00 am heading toward Halong City, taking in views of the countryside and rice paddies along the way. After about 3.5 hours you reach the port and get on an authentic junk cruise. Fresh seafood lunch is served on board before you explore Surprising Cave and the Wooden Grottoes. Swimming in Halong Bay's waters happens next, then the boat anchors for the night. Dinner comes as the sun sets, and you can choose to swim in phosphorescent waters, relax on the skybar, or try fishing for squid.

- Day 4
Halong Bay to Hanoi
Rising early, you watch the sunrise and do a Tai Chi session with the crew on deck. Breakfast comes next, then you cruise through thousands of islands with plenty of photo chances. A stop at a floating fishing village lets you hear stories about the fishermen's lives. Lunch happens while cruising back to Halong City harbor, after which you return to Hanoi by bus and check into your hotel for the night.

- Day 5
Hanoi to Sapa
Your hotel picks you up at 6:30 am in the Old Quarter and takes you to the bus station for a 7:00 am departure toward Sapa. The big bus travels along the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway with a 30-minute rest stop, passing through northwest mountains with terraced rice fields. You arrive in Sapa at 12:30 pm, meet your guide, check in, get a welcome drink and briefing, then have lunch with local Vietnamese food. At 2:30 pm you trek 3.5 km down to Cat Cat village to see the Black H'mong people, visit the French-built Hydraulic Power Station at the waterfall, take photos at the bridge, and walk back uphill to catch your bus. Dinner at the hotel ends the day.

- Day 6
Sapa Trekking and Return to Hanoi
Eat breakfast between 7:00 and 7:45 am and pack for trekking. Trekking starts at 9:30 am from Sapa toward Y Linh Ho, through rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai with views of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. You'll have a picnic lunch at Lao Chai at 12:30 pm, then head to Ta Van village (home of the Dzay ethnic people) at 1:30 pm. A bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge at 2:30 pm for the return to Sapa. The full trek covers about 12 km and takes roughly 4.5 hours. You'll have free time in Sapa for shopping or exploring on your own. At 4:00 pm the drive back to Hanoi begins, arriving at 9:30 pm with mountain views along the way.
