Your driver meets you at Noi Bai International Airport and takes you directly to your hotel in Hanoi. You'll have the rest of the day to yourself after your flight, so settle in and either relax at the hotel or wander out into Hanoi's lively streets whenever you feel like it.

- Day 2
Hanoi
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out at 8:00 am to explore Hanoi's cultural heart. The morning includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, and his former residence, then the Temple of Literature where you'll catch a traditional music performance. Lunch features authentic Hanoi pho, and the afternoon gives you choices between the Museum of Ethnology, Women's Museum, or other temples. Later you'll stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake and browse the Old Quarter for shopping and street food before a water puppet show closes out the evening.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
A minivan picks you up around 9:00 am for a 3.5-hour drive through Vietnam's countryside to Halong City. You'll board a traditional junk and start cruising through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fresh seafood lunch happens on board, and then you'll visit the Surprise Cave and Wooden Grottoes. Before the sun sets, you can swim in the emerald waters, relax at the skybar with cocktails, try squid fishing under the stars, or swim in the phosphorescent waters.

- Day 4
Halong Bay to Hanoi
Rise early to catch the sunrise over the water, then join the crew for Tai Chi on deck before breakfast. You'll cruise leisurely past thousands of dramatic islands and stop at a floating fishing village to chat with fishermen and photograph the area. Lunch comes on the cruise as you sail back to Halong City, then transfer back to Hanoi for an overnight stay.

Landmarks Halong Bay - Day 5
Hanoi to Sapa
Hotel pickup happens at 6:30 am from the Old Quarter, then you'll head to the bus station for a 7:00 am departure to Sapa along the Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway. The route shows off northwest mountains with terraced fields. After a 30-minute break partway, you'll continue and arrive at noon where your guide meets you at Fansipan Street. Following check-in and lunch with local Vietnamese dishes, the afternoon includes a 3.5-km trek (about 2 hours) down to Cat Cat village, home to Black H'Mong people. You'll see daily life, visit a waterfall where the French built a power station, then trek back up for the return to Sapa.

- Day 6
Sapa to Hanoi
After breakfast from 7:00-7:45 am, you'll prepare light trekking gear. At 9:30 am the trek starts from Sapa through Y Linh Ho, rice terraces, and along Muong Hoa Stream to reach Lao Chai, a Black Hmong village. Spectacular mountain views accompany you throughout. Picnic lunch happens at Lao Chai at 12:30 pm, then you'll head to Ta Van village where the Dzay ethnic people live. A bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge at 2:30 pm for the return to Sapa (the full trek covers about 12 km over 4.5 hours). You'll have free time for shopping or exploring Sapa before departing at 4:00 pm for Hanoi, arriving back at 9:30 pm.

- Day 7
Hanoi to Danang to Hoi An
This morning you'll fly to Danang, Vietnam's central coastal city. Check out the Cham Museum with its sandstone carvings, then explore Cua Dai Beach. Before heading to Hoi An, you'll stop at Marble Mountain. Once in Hoi An, this charming town was once Southeast Asia's major international port (the French called it Faifo) during the 17th-19th centuries. Japanese, Indian, Chinese, and Portuguese traders left their marks through preserved temples and merchant homes. You'll check in and stay overnight here.

Hoi An
Your guide meets you at 8:00 am after breakfast for a bicycle ride to Tra Que Vegetable Village, 3 km outside Hoi An. You'll pedal through peaceful villages and experience daily farm life at an organic garden, learning about soil prep, growing vegetables, and watering crops. A 15-minute herbal foot massage refreshes you, then you'll join a family for a cooking class where you'll prepare Tam Huu spring rolls and banh xeo pancakes before lunch with them. The afternoon gives you time to bike back, explore town for souvenirs, or relax at Cua Dai Beach 4 km away. Things wrap up around 3:30 pm, and you'll arrange your own dinner and overnight.

At 8:00 am you'll head southwest 50 km to My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and ancient capital of the Cham people. This lush valley holds red brick towers and sanctuaries built between the 7th-13th centuries, ranking among Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites. You'll explore the ancient structures and learn about Cham history before returning around 1:00 pm for lunch on your own. The afternoon offers shopping time in Hoi An's charming streets and markets, then overnight here.

Hoi An

Return to your beach base with the evening free, then stay overnight in Hoi An.

Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll visit Ho Chi Minh City's morning sites including Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, and Reunification Palace. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to the War Remnants Museum to learn about the region's history. Then travel 75 km southeast (about 1.5 hours drive) to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of over 200 km used during the war as underground cities with trap doors, living quarters, storage, weapons factories, hospitals, and kitchens. You'll learn how they were built, explore the complex, and sample simple wartime cuisine. Return to Saigon and stay overnight.

Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
After breakfast at 8:00 am, your guide takes you 75 km southeast to My Tho, capital of Tien Giang Province on the Mekong River. This region surrounded by orchards and rice fields is known for traditional crafts. Visit one or two islands to see handcrafts, coconut candy production, and bee farms. Take a boat trip on the Mekong to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest in the delta. Return to Ho Chi Mihn City for check-in and an overnight stay.
