Everest Base Camp
After a night at Everest Base Camp, you'll have a relaxed breakfast before heading back through Gorak Shep's dry lakebed. The hike toward Khumbu Glacier is straightforward but the altitude keeps things challenging. Once you reach Everest Base Camp, prayer flags and stone piles mark the spot, and you're surrounded by massive peaks like Lingtren, Khumbutse, Nuptse, and Lhotse. Spend time walking around the glacier, catch the sunset and sunrise from here, and get a feel for what expedition life looks like. If you're camping, you might end up near other Everest climbers preparing for their own ascents.
