You'll arrive at the airport and get transferred to your hotel in Panama City. After you check in, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and get a feel for the city.

Casco Antiguo and Panama Canal
Start by walking through Casco Antiguo, the historic UNESCO site with its cobblestone streets and colonial buildings. You'll see the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Theater, and several churches. After lunch, head to Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal. The Visitor Center has observation terraces and interactive displays that explain how this engineering feat actually works.

Panama City to Gamboa Rainforest Reserve
Rest in the morning at your Panama City hotel. By early afternoon, you'll transfer to Gamboa Rainforest Reserve, which sits along the Chagres River near the canal. The resort has aerial tram rides, boat tours, indigenous community visits, and rainforest hiking available for you to try.

Gatun Lake Wildlife Tour
Board a small boat early on Gatun Lake for a 3.5 to 4 hour wildlife tour. You'll look for monkeys, birds, and reptiles throughout the tropical landscape. From the water, you might also catch sight of massive ships passing through the Panama Canal from a perspective you don't often get.

Free Day at Gamboa Rainforest Reserve
The whole day is free at the rainforest resort. You can do the aerial tram rides, take another boat tour, visit the indigenous communities, go on a nature hike, or simply relax at the resort facilities. It's your call.

Gamboa to Panama City with Nighttime Tour and Dinner Show
Spend the morning relaxing at your resort, then transfer back to Panama City in the afternoon. After checking into your hotel, you'll get picked up for an evening tour. Start with a walk along Amador Causeway where you can see Panama Bay and the Bridge of the Americas. Later, explore the lit-up Casco Antiguo to see the colonial architecture at night, and finish with dinner and a live show at a restaurant in the historic district.
