- IGIan· November 15th, 2024The tour was organised for us at short notice after our original operator cancelled. Everything was well coordinated and went very smoothly as planned. We really enjoyed ourselves over the 23 days. We took in some incredible scenery, explored interesting cities, learned about the South American culture and history and met some wonderful people. It truly has been a trip of a lifetime. Kind regards Ian and DebbieShow moreTrip date: September 2024
- Sam· July 26th, 2024Some good, some bad, most average or below. The big problem is that the price is for a medium/good tour and this is more of a budget tour. :/ It’s particularly annoying that there is an undisclosed additional $1,000 cost to fly between countries. Specifically: 1. There are only 3.5 days of guides in this “15 day” tour. All guides were friendly, but most were avg/poor. The Rio city tour was only ½ day – for all of Rio? Lame. Which would be okay for a budget tour, but not for the price we paid. 2. Hotels were medium/poor. Two were in out of the way locations. Rio hotel was one block from the Copa Cabana 😊. One hotel should not have been used, since an evening flight was booked, but the hotel had a non-negotiable 9am check-out. Which would be okay for a budget tour, but not for the price we paid. 3. Sites were good and we liked visiting all 3 countries. Rainbow mtn was excellent, although not part of the tour. Atlantic rainforest was excellent. Rio is beautiful. Cusco is 12,000 feet, so consider staying at elevation BEFORE your trip. Communication with the tour operator was good.Show moreTrip date: May 2024

Asked on May 5th, 2025Is it true South America is not a good choice for seniors and what would you recommend in terms of places to see. My thoughts were Peru, Brazil, chile and argentina
- Receptivo Aborigen ToursOperator•Written May 2025
South America can absolutely be a wonderful destination for seniors, especially when the trip is planned with the right pace, accommodations, and guided support. Peru, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina are all excellent choices. Machu Picchu is accessible without heavy hiking, Iguazu Falls has easy, paved walkways, Santiago and the Lakes District are beautiful and easy to explore, and Buenos Aires is flat and cultural.

Traveler•Written May 2025Yes please send me a sample itinerary with cost. I do have a question when i look at some of your tours they say 0-99yrs. Does that mean we can pick any tour and it will be ok for us to do what we can at our comfort level?
- Receptivo Aborigen ToursOperator•Written May 2025
Depending on the type of guide and the route, you may leave the path before finishing it, but in general you have to get back to the means of transport established to return to the hotel.
