Today you're cycling through Cote de Beaune wine villages. You'll start in Pommard where you can see the 18th-century castle, then continue pedaling through Volnay, Meursault, Santenay, Chassagne and Puligny Montrachet. The route takes you directly through the famous Burgundy vineyards, so you're cycling among the vines the whole time.

Beaune
Back in Beaune for a day focused on the town's main attractions. You'll see the Hotel Dieu with its distinctive polychrome roof, check out the Basilica, visit the wine hospices, and stop by the mustard factory. These sites are medieval and tied to Beaune's wine auction heritage, so there's real history here.

After that, you can take the high path that runs behind the vineyards for panoramic views across the region.

The abbey's where the Cistercian Order lived, and it's still known for making artisan cheese. Choose based on what interests you more.
