Tuléar to Anakao
You'll arrive at Tuléar hotel or airport where the tour team meets you and arranges your transfer to the port. From there, a boat takes you to Anakao, a fishing village where a local guide walks you through Vezo culture and explains 'fady', the traditional concept of taboos. The distinctive Vezo graves are worth seeing since they're quite different from what you'll find elsewhere. Spend your afternoon on the water doing deep-sea fishing alongside local fishermen, then settle in to watch the sunset from the boat. Dinner happens back at your accommodation where you'll stay overnight.

You can spot straw tail birds nesting in small trees, plus herons, egrets, seagulls and terns. If diving or snorkeling interests you, the colorful fish and remnants of old French structures are down there waiting.
